I just graduated from a Jesuit (Catholic) university where the little boy (yes, it was a boy) was taken to get 'exorcised'. I attended a presentation by one of the priests that helped in the exorcism. Here is what he had to say: Like I said, it was a boy that this happened to. He was brought from Washington to St. Louis by his aunt. The priest said that the aunt and the boy had a weird relationship and the aunt would often sleep in the same bed as the little boy. He stayed on the campus of my school and only acted out at night (he was fine during the day). He would yell and scream, but it would be in English (no foreign languages). They took him to a hospital to do what work they needed to. After awhile, they let the boy go and he went home to Washington DC. The part of the hospital in which he was 'cleaned' was torn down some years later, but it wasn't related to the case. The boy went on to live a normal life and he came back to St. Louis and the campus for the priests' funerals. But basically, the priest giving the presentation was extremely hesitant to say that it was an actual possession. Like I said, he only acted out at night and he would just be unruly (yelling in cussing in English). He thought that he may have been acting out based on some of the things the aunt may have done to him. Sorry if this ruins your perception of the movie / what you think may have happened.
I hope it's good.. I like these films
The original is untouchable, which is good on their part, but the others have flopped for me. So hopefully this one turns out good.
