Page to star in Barrymore film
Ellen Page is at it again. The star of [I]Juno[/I] and current It girl is set to headline Drew Barrymore's directorial debut [I]Whip It[/I]. The film chronicles the adventures of Bliss Cavendar, a teenage misfit stuck in a dead-end town outside Austin, Tex., who decides to take up the time-honored tradition of Roller Derby. Based on the book [I]Derby Girl[/I] by novelist and screenwriter Shauna Cross, [I]Whip It[/I] will be produced by Barry Mendel and Barrymore's Flower Films for Mandate Pictures. It will be shooting this summer in Austin. LOVE her, I just watched Juno over the weekend (gotta love the internet) it was such a good movie, but her acting in it was outstanding. I am looking forward to this movie...Roller Derby is awesome...and lots of fun, my friends and I used to take over the skating rink to play until we got kicked out since it was "against policy" and a "liability" LOL

It is right at the top of my list for movies to see in the near future. As for the new Barrymore flick, lets just say I am not her biggest fan. Maybe if she actually doesn't act in it and only directs it will be something I can sit through.
