NBC is built on 2 shows, Sunday Night Football and The Voice, neither of which is airing during the sweeps period. Right now it is looking horrible to them, but next year it should be alright. If I was the NBC executive here is how I would build the fall schedule: Sunday: Football Monday: The Voice + New Show Tuesday: The Voice + New Show Wednesday: Revolution + New Show + Chicago Fire Thursday: The Biggest Loser + Law & Order SVU Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday night would do excellent, Wednesday night would have upside depending on how much of its audience Revolution retains when not on the same night as the Voice and Thursday night is just so that NBC has 2 steady shows on a night where they are currently getting dominated.

I remember when they pulled the same scheduling stunt (long break) with Jericho and the audience disappeared. A show like The Walking Dead can pull off half seasons because it has a cult following. Revolution is a new show that needed to keep its momentum up. I wouldn't be surprised if it is DOA when it returns. Of course, I'm not really a fan in the first place so it doesn't matter to me either way. The only thing I watch on NBC is football. If NBC went off the air during the off season for weeks, I wouldn't even notice!

The only thing I watch on NBC is The Voice. I mean... isn't that the only show on that station?

I am curious to see how it does if Season 2 airs on a different night without having The Voice as a lead in.

Eh I always figured if a show is good, it doesn't matter when it airs. I really like Revolution after hearing about it via the all-powerful Word of Mouth and I'll watch it any night of the week (more likely, I'll record it and watch it during the weekend).

I'm not surprised they got beaten by Univision, there's like only 3 Spanish channels on regular tv right now (well here in Texas). What do they expect non-speaking english Hispanics to watch?!!?

It was too much a wanna-be Battle Royale/The Hunger Games type
