My Life is Liz is supposed to be returning in February which makes me wonder which show will get this time slot unless Skins is going to be a very short test season.

Really? But she graduated like 2 years ago, why did it took so long to air season 2?
From what I can gather (which must be taken with a grain of salt as I was more hurriedly curious than investigative in my search), they went to New York and filmed in early January of last year through whenever and it is coming back in February. From what I can further deduce from odd posts here and there and youtube videos of quick random cast interviews, the show is a reality show and is not scripted, though the cast is given great liberty at being more eccentric on camera than they otherwise are in real life.
Either way, will be interesting so see who wins the time-slot.
I thought you were talking about Skins for a moment, I was like, "Umm...Skins is DEFINITELY scripted...". But that's really interesting, I always assumed My Life As Liz was scripted. So, how is a season 2 going to work? I didn't finish season 1 and don't remember it well but wasn't she like...a senior?
Well, tempting the off-topic hammer for leading us down this path and not sure where else to take this discussion, season 1 ended with her planning to go to NY and season 2 is apparently them in NY. My gut instinct is that Liz actually is them acting out some sort of generic pre-agreed upon story line in the course of their own lives like an ad-hoc acting exercise, but who knows. Since Liz had lower ratings than Skins, I wonder which one will end up in a better time slot. Could go either way.

I remember reading through one castmembers formspring that it was most definitely scripted. Liz does not hate that blonde girl, and Liz has a LOT of friends. Liz and that one dude who she liked never had a "thing" he's been dating that other girl (the nerdy version of Liz) for a long time now.
The show IS 10000000 PERCENT SCRIPTED. I graduate this year, but i went to school with Liz. I had a class with her and my friend had 3 since he graduated the same year as her. At lunch, they would tell us exactly where to sit and watch if something was gonna "go down". Liz was back in town a couple of weeks ago, I saw her at Target in Burleson

HOLD UP!
Weren't you the one who said that went to some school in Dallas where they filmed "If You Really Knew Me"? Umm yea.
Since my punishment for being a tangent going-on' er is to be the official "My Life As Liz" threadstarter, I thought I would do my solemn duty to bring it to everyone's attention that the new season starts tonight at 11:00 EST.
