Poltergeist is definitely one of my all time favourite horror movies. I love the classic 80s speilberg feel.

I think movies are scarier in the theaters than at home. I've never watched a horror movie in the dark alone before but I have during the day time lol
Try watching the Exorcist or Conjuring 2 in the complete dark around 3am (the witching hour) in the morning. See if this doesn't scare you lol.
