So yesterday I went and saw The Gameplan starring the Rock, with my friend and her daughter. It was the typical sweet Disney movie. While I usually don't even bother watching movies like that, it was actually refreshing. It seems that most of the time all of the movies I choose to see are dramas with very serious subject matter. But seeing kid's movies is a nice way to lighten up and just enjoy the 90 minutes in the theatre without having to think much. Not only that, but there's previews for a few more 'family' films coming out that I'm looking forward to seeing. Martian Child, starring John Cusack looks really funny and sweet, plus I heart John Cusack. And something with Ella in the name looks really good. It's got 'McDreamy' in it, and I like the premise. It starts out as a cartoon about a princess who gets cast down by an evil witch, and she ends up in New york city as a real person. The preview was hilarious. So the next time you are feeling a little drained from watching movies like the Kingdom, Syriana, ect... check out a kid's movie for a fun change of pace! :)
