So since they decided to air this "golden goose" a year after they already had confirmed it's cancellation I am sure it has nothing to do with the networks sagging ratings.
Agreed.
Agreed.
Yea sure we'll see & I Love Money 4 was never goin to air.
Maybe I should do what the tags say & give it up, hope is gone. Or I really need to stop grasping for straws. Lol.

VH1 said it would would never air. We generally take their word at face value when they say that they have cancelled a show (which leads me to believe there is another reason for its stealth airing and zero promotion, which I have alluded to earlier.)
Listen, as hard as this to believe, if VH1 cared at all about this show they'd advertise it. This isn't rocket science. If you want people to know a show is airing, you tell them!
They are not advertising the show because the francise automatically makes most people think of Ryan Jenkins the murderer, which was a huge black eye for VH1. They do not have a website for the show (for the same reason they are not advertising the show.) They have not offered a press release saying the show will air (for the same reason they do not have a website.)
If VH1 brought this show out of mothballs to "save the network" they wouldn't be sneaking it on the schedule, seemingly afraid that people might find out.
Now, I know for the diehards out there, this is hard to accept and I am not stating the obvious out of spite, but rather because it is obvious...

I understand what you are saying but you said it yourself Vh1 officially cancelled the show...so what would be the reason they are going to air it? I mean they could have easily just been done with it, dead and gone forever with no more questions asked. But now they are airing it, without promotion or anything....so something isnt making sense here, 2 adn 2 are equaling 1 right now instead of 4. The only thing I can think of is that they are eventually planning on doing a season 5 and using season 4 to lead/ease into it.

I agree with everything you just said. I mean it wouldve been much easier just to never air the show (like was originally planned) and be done with it. I find it really odd that they are airing after all. No one knows the reasoning behind it besides Vh1 and 51 Minds. All of us definitely dont know but there is something going on. I just cant help but notice how desperate Vh1 must be for ratings at this point.
Vh1 is not yet desperate for ratings(although they should be). They are airing ILM4 after primetime so no one gets to see the ratings. They also are still acting like the show doesn't exist. Many feel they are just airing it to please Endemol, nothing more.
The way I see it is this. Bacchus seems pretty accurate with them just airing it to end some sort of contractual obligation.
However, it's been off air for over a year now and all that bad press is gone, so why even bring it back? Yes, maybe to end that obligation, but I think that's kind of an amateur way to end things. Who knows?
VH1 is obviously aware they have not promoted this show one ounce and it is in an odd timeslot. But they could be using it to investigate how much appeal it has with viewers still. Here's to hopes it sparks something at VH1 because their shows right now are garbage. Literally... garbage. The reels belong in the trashcan.
I agree with Bacchus. I Love Money 4 is clearly not airing to save VH1, they havent even promoted it and it airs tomorrow! Who knows why they are airing it, but I am just GLAD that they are! :) And as fans we should just spread the word as much as we can, and hopefully it does good ratings wise. The twitter thing will really help if it works!
I am not saying that ILM4 is airing to save Vh1 I am just saying that they are desperate, so out of desperation why not air it? Nothing else they are showing is getting ratings, might as well air ILM it couldnt be any worse, right?
Again I am predicting that it will be Vh1's highest rated show of the fall. Which isnt saying much. You can get 1 million viewers and be the highest rated show on the network nowadays. I dont know how my posts get so confused, since when does highest ratings on Vh1 translate into "saving Vh1"?

Sometimes, outside noise can easily throw people off.

To clarify:
If the consensus is ILM4, a show no one but a handful of Bourgy and Vevmo superfans even know is airing, is going to have the highest ratings out of any VH1 show this fall - the network is desperately in need of saving!

Very good point.

Sometimes, outside noise is a neighbor knocking at your door to tell you your cat got run over. Ignoring the knocking, doesn't make your cat any better, although you might feel better if you keep yourself gleefully unaware.
For some reason, every time I come to this thread, this image pops into my head - not that I am saying anything about the fine folks here. :wink2:

Which goes back to what I said before--If people catch on, they'll watch. If not, oh well for I Love Money. (No, that wasn't directed at you.)
The "holier than thou" attitudes and condescending tones in these arguments [strike]is[/strike] are annoying.
Here's to I Love Money hopefully making some sort of impact for VH1 to pick up where they left off... over a year ago.
I definitely think VH1 is using I Love Money 4 as a gauge to see where their viewers heads are at; If everyone is happy with the current shows airing, or if people would rather see the "Celebreality" VH1.
I been on twitter and facebook all day talkin bout #ILoveMoney4. Hope it helps out. Where the fans at? Let's get this show rollin!
If you really want to help, be on Twitter tonight at ten. A few of the cast members as well as a lot of superfans are going to tweet as much as they can to get it in the top ten trending topics.
For the future, the VH1 spokesman says there's no talk now about a fifth season of the show
.
I'm sure it wont be that different. I just wish people would just watch it and quit *****ing about every little thing.
Focus on competition or not I am just glad it's back. I'll take what I can get.
I find it odd that a VH1 Spokesperson would make such a statement when VH1 hasn't even promoted the show.
And I highly doubt what this "spokesperson" said about there being less footage of cast interaction is false; the timeframe for the show is an hour; Unless the challenge takes up 50 minutes of the episode and only ten minutes for elimination, I highly doubt this statement is true.
True, and I dont see how cast interactions would affect anyting really. I mean I doubt they sat around and talked about Ryan Jenkins the whole time, since none of them, with the exception of Marcia, even knew what happened on ILM3. And this was premurder so they wouldnt be talking about that situation either. So it really doesnt make sense.

And even if Marcia or anyone else referenced Ryan, they could easily just edit it out of the show.
