[B]VH1 Reality Star Charged With Murder, Considered "Armed and Dangerous" VH1 Reality Star Charged With Murder, Considered "Armed and Dangerous" [/B] [I]Thursday August 20, 2009 [/I] VH1 reality star Ryan Alexander Jenkins has been charged with the murder of his ex-wife, an Orange County Distract Attorney spokesperson confirms to Usmagazine.com. At a press conference held by the Buena Park Police Department, Chief of Police Tom Monson promised a "vigorous pursuit of justice" of Jenkins, 32, who appeared on VH1 reality shows Megan Wants a Millionaire and I Love Money. He said Jenkins -- who is considered "armed and dangerous" -- may have escaped to his native Canada on foot after the nude body of his ex-wife, Jasmine Fiore, 28, was found stuffed into a suitcase in a Buena Park, Calif., trash bin over the weekend. It was also revealed that her teeth and fingers had been removed. "Ryan Jenkins is an animal," said Robert Hasman, a former boyfriend of Fiore's, who attended the conference with other relatives. "What he has done to Jasmine is unspeakable." A warrant has been issued for his arrest, and $10 million bail has been set. It is still unclear if Jenkins -- who was named a "person of interest" earlier -- is charged with first-degree or second-degree murder, spokesperson Farrah Emami told Us Thursday. A U.S. Marshall said his agency is cooperating with Canadian law enforcement to find Jenkins. They are still investigating for motive. In June, Jenkins was charged with a misdemeanor count of "battery constituting domestic violence" for hitting Fiore in the arm. He's due in court in December. Jenkins -- who earned the nickname "Smooth Operator" on Megan Wants a Millionaire -- has a criminal history in his Calgary hometown, according to the Associated Press. He was sentenced to 15 months of probation in January 2007 for assault, according to the Alberta, Canada Ministry of Justice. Thanks for ruining VH1 Ryan...I could care less if MWAM got cancelled, but ILM is a different story...I hope the guy suffers more pain then he put his wife through...Must be ******* sick in the head

Once again...........another show I was having high hopes for gets shut down.........Way to go VH1.

I think that VH1 is trying to distance themselves from 51 Minds.

I think that after their contract is up 51 Minds is done.

I am thinking Endemol bought part of 51 Minds, a couple of months ago?! If so, I wonder what will happen now with that contract??

I think that 51 Minds is screwed. It sucks because I really like some of their shows. Flavor Of Love 2 and the first Rock of Love are two of my favorite reality shows ever.

I feel bad for them, though, since it seems like VH1 is hanging them out to dry. Either way, I am sad about no ILM3, but unless this guy turns out to be innocent (which is unlikely since he went through all that trouble to get to Canada), it is the right thing to do.

Flying back to your home country isn't very smart. That is the first place the police will look. My *** would be in Africa!

Sad no ILM3, but even sadder for the tragedy!

I think ILM4 will still come on since he probialy isn't on that because it is still in production.

Ryan is a messed up individual. I'm sad for this whole tragedy :(. Will keep Jamsine's family in my prayers. I'm not mad at all that ILM is cancelled.

And won't the uniforms have an "I Love Money 4" logo on them? Unless they call everyone back now and shoot it again which I doubt they would do because they are worrying about this mess.

My *** would be in Africa![/QUOTE] The only thing is that Canada will not extradite someone to the US if they are charged with a capital crime, which he now is I believe, unless it is promised that they will not seek the death penalty. He is probably banking on this, so maybe it was a smart move. If he did do this, he had the presence of mind to try and hide her identity, even though what he did was disgusting and disturbing, then flee to a place that he may be safe from punishment. Supposedly he is also trying to get to Honduras where I guess his father has some connection. That was a really nice post by Lacey and I too hope that justice is served and that they will find some amount of peace one day.

Canada is only after him for crossing the border illegally.

Now, did I miss something? (since this topic has been discussed in a few different threads). But I thought I read/heard that Ryan was found and in custody? Is that true or is he still on the run?

And even if they do have him in custody, Dog should still go up there and bring him back. There is a needle with his name on it!

I am actually extremely dissapointed that they are not going to air I love money 3. I know that this is a serious deal and that this is a terrible event but I still fell that the show should air. it would make sense if he talked about wanting to harm his wife on the show or something like that but this took place months before the event and I do not feel that ryans association with 51minds or vh1 has anything to do with the murder of his wife. therefore, they should still air the show. possibly I feel that they should do what they can to try to go back and re-edit the whole show and try to cut him out as much as possible. don't show him, don't talk about him, do whatever they can to minimize his impact on the show. I mean they pretty much did a really good job at doing that to Cali for the first five episodes or so of ilm2. she was barely shown at all and she was there just as much as anyone else (until she started to act stupid and go with 20 pack Whig got her eliminated). if they could go back and edit the show I would not look at the show or vh1 in any kind of bad light because they did what they could to decrease the amount of airtime he had and I would be 100% satisfied. if that were not possible, then putting the show on DVD (making the situation known to the viewers, of course) would also do the trick for me because I, and I'm sure many others, would go out and buy it in a second.

I can't imagine how the people that were on the show with him must feel.
