Grey's Ep. 514: Beat Your Heart Out
Tonight!
Now that Derek has the engagement ring, he searches for the perfect way to propose to Meredith, as Lexie demands that Mark go public with their relationship, and Bailey, encouraged by her work on recent cases and by Dr. Dixon, considers a new direction for her medical career.
Gosh I really hope Izzie figures out what's wrong with her tonight. And I'd like to see more of Christina and Owen.
Me too, but I heard Denny is around till march!
Yes, I read the same thing. It seems that the nail is not yet in the coffin. And I had such high hopes...
Yes, I read the same thing. It seems that the nail is not yet in the coffin. And I had such high hopes...
I would totally******* up and deal with dead Denny if we could trade him out for Merideth but I just can't handle 2 corpse like characters on one show.
I thought I read somewhere (and I could be completely mistaken) that Katherine Heigl said in an interview that she wanted her character to have something "wrong" with her, or have something happen to her, like a brain tumor. Or was that a dream?

So this was a pretty cute episode. Not as dramatic as the last couple weeks had been, but nice. I guess I'm starting to warm up to Mark and Lexie, though I have my doubts about what the rest of the hospital will think if/when they come out. I really got a kick out of the "Victorian Romance" going on with Owen and Christina. Yes it was a little cheesy that they played that music everytime they had an exchange, but cheesy in a nice way! It's a different side to see of Christina. Didn't get to see much of the patients stories this week, but maybe they will continue next week. But hey! We didn't see Denny this week. Or George for that matter. Wait, was George on last night? I don't even remember. P.S...sorry Bacc but I fell asleep 15 min into Private Practice... :( (I had a LONG day!)

I thought this was an ok episode. Nothing special. It is one of those they could have completely dropped and if you saw next week's episode, you would not have been the wiser. Private Practice was also lacking. So much for an epic crossover MUST SEE EVENT! Blah...I need new shows. I hope the networks redeem themselves next fall as beyond Fringe, nothing good came out of this year OR last year and I am stuck with these dying shows from 3-5 years ago like Heroes, Lost and Grey's. :( At least I was finally able to dump CSI (about 5 years too late.) All I have these days are reality shows and Netflix...
Can anyone post next week's preview or tell me where I can find it? My stupid DVR always cuts out in the middle of it...
Can anyone post next week's preview or tell me where I can find it? My stupid DVR always cuts out in the middle of it...
That's not your DVR - it is ABC running 5 minutes over to screw with your DVR as well as pull the Grey's ratings into Private Practice (My DVR normally runs 3 minutes over, so it always loses 2 minutes of ABC shows unless I tell it to run longer....) Thanks Bacchus! I need to figure out how to set specific times for my DVR so it overruns...I've seen it done before, just need to take 2 minutes out of my day to make it happen :)

One thing that bothered about this episode (and it's kind of an ongoing thing) is the end, where Arizona came up to Callie and professed her crush and laid one on her. Don't get me wrong, I obviously have no problem with the "lesbian" storyline. But, it just seems forced. Like, they got into it with Erica then booted her off right away and acted like they were going to backpedal. Then they bring in Sadie, now Arizona. It just seems like a jumping the shark-type thing. And I just don't like how Callie has been acting lately. (Unsure, awkward....) It's not the character I came to really like a few seasons back. Anywho.....thoughts anyone?
It's not the character I came to really like a few seasons back. Anywho.....thoughts anyone?
I agree. I don't capture any chemistry with Callie when it comes to women. Maybe it is there and I just don't see it, not sure. With Mark - Chemistry. With Arizona/Sadie/Hahn - Awkwardness. The most disturbing part about her character is now she is fully about her inner lesbian and we have lost everything else about her.
Exactly! Ok I'm glad I'm not the only one... :D
I completely agree as well...it just does not fit...remember the hardcore bone crusher she was when George first started dating her...she just is not the same person anymore.
