This episode re-affirmed for me (again) that Grey's is back with a bang. It had the right amount of hilarity, sadness, and spunk all in one episode.
First, the thing with Eva. Ok I admit I thought she was just pulling one of the oldest tricks in the book w/ this fake pregnancy. But after watching her in denial with Izzie, then Sloane, then Alex, I almost felt my heart break for her. It's not what I expected but I think I'm happy that they went this route rather than her making up the story just to be vindictive. And when Alex was dressing her in the end....Oh, tears. Almost. Even though it is a sad and tragic story, this may be the beginning of Alex's change. He took care of her so tenderly even though he knew it was technically "a lie". Because it wasn't a lie for her.
Christina. Retract those claws girl!! Neither George NOR Lexie deserved the snappy comments they got from her. Apparently this is just how she deals with things, and Meredith seems to understand, because she is "in the dark place". In my experience, when someone so stubborn is there, you just have to let them deal with it in their own way and ride it out. I really hope we see a new Christina by Season 5.
Sloane. He's trying, really trying, right? So Callie, stop using sex to bring him back just because you're afraid you may be a lesbian (or bi) now. In fact, I thought the kiss in the elevator was pretty awkward. I don't know what to think about that. Is Hahn really a lesbian or was she just trying to put Mark in his place?
Mer/Der surgery. Oh how my jaw dropped and my eyes flew wide open when I saw that Andre showed up!! It was soo sooo sad watching him in the end, when the patient (forget her name now) was in her coma. All I could think about was this poor lady is dying thinking that the love of her life that she finally found was all in her head. But what could they have done??
That's all that comes to mind right now....I cannot WAIT for next week's season finale.
Thoughts?? :D
ETA: Favorite quote of the night:
