Grey's Anatomy: Ep. 401 - A Change Is Gonna Come
I though Grey's was good last night. There was the appropriate amount of drama and questions raised for an opening salvo. The first thing I felt was a sense of loss from not having Addison and Burke around. These guys are going to be missed as the new group of characters are only interns and there seems to be a power void at the top. I assume the newly minted Residents will begin to fill that void as the season progresses, but for right now there is definitely something missing. I was happy to see George return as an intern and even more happy to see that the episode ended with him affirming his love for Izzy (even though I don't like that paring, I love Izzy and just want her to be happy!) Did anyone else get a chuckle over the child birth scene? 1 minute labor while unconscious. Could a women ask for more? I can't wait to see where they take Chyler Leigh's character (Lexie Grey.) I read a rumor that they brought her in because Ellen Pompeo was playing hardball with her contract and they wanted to make sure they had a "Grey" ready to fill the lead. Other Scenes of note:

The Deer side drama was really cute
Derek, Meredith hookup at the end was a buzz kill. Move on already!
Baily is to short to have the weight of a chip that large on her shoulder (even though it is deserved.)
Hookup prediction for episode 2:

Lexie Grey and Dr. Karev
Hookups for episode 2 if I was a sick and twisted script writer:

Derek and Lexie
Sloan and Meredith
The Chief and Bailey
Izzie and Callie

Hookups for episode 2 if I was a sick and twisted script writer:

Derek and Lexie
Sloan and Meredith
The Chief and Bailey
Izzie and Callie

IF??????? I was highly impressed with the opener. I went into it sceptical due to last year's lulls, but once again, it has me hooked. I am upset with the Izzy/deer storyline. In my opinion, they made her look ridiculous, although I did like the way it ended as far as her "relationship" with her interns. The best part for me was the little girl squeezing out three blinks to her father. I lost it - cried like a little baby. George was annoying the crap out me. Get over it already. It's no one's fault but your own. You chose to get drunk, you chose to cheat on your wife, you chose not to study harder than you should have. Move freaking on already! I hope "broken up" really means broken up this time. Callie better get it together because the hard *** persona doesn't work for her. I think I'm done.
Anyone else notice Paul from Dexter on Grey's last night?
The best part for me was the little girl squeezing out three blinks to her father. I lost it - cried like a little baby.
Ugh - That blinking part was so schmaltzy I could barley take it. I was like, "God, please make this part be over now. If it is not my destiny to beat my head against the wall until I die, please make it stop. Make this scene end now, for the sake of my fluffy children. Do you want them to be without a father?" As for the deer: My favorite part of the entire episode was when she gave the deer an electric shock with the paddles and it jumped up, stuck out its tongue momentary and looked around. I was practically on the floor. I guess we saw this one very differently!
Never having watched before I watched the opener. I'm not sure what made me do it. But I guess I just was feeling left out. It was pretty good. I agree with Bacchus the scene with the blinks and the father were a bit much and I was too wishing that the scene would just end already. The deer thing didn't really shock me too much. I thought it was pretty funny. And of course it made me ask all sorts of questions, but then they showed the animal people come, so that answered my concerns. As I said I've never watched, but I've seen promos and heard people talk...and I think the thing with Meredith and Derek must end. I have no idea what has happened in the last couple of years, I just know that he was married when the show began. Unless she can get over her issues, which doesn't seem to appear to be happening, it hardly seems worth continuing. I like the cast and it was entertaining. I'll probably tune in next week, but I think I am going to go to the video store and rent the DVD's for season 1 and 2.

Season 1 is extremely entertaining and will give you the back story. Season 2 is absolutely amazing! The finale that season is freaking crazy! Probably one of the best season finales of all time. I really wish I could go back and watch this for the first time. Season 3 - Skip.
well, i really liked grey's anatomy...not sure if i liked all pairings though...i am not thrilled with the george and izzy thing, they just don't go together, and knowing that george is gay in real life makes it hard for me to believe his love for izzy or callie, and i wish they would bring in a cute gay male doctor for him!!! lol...but i like that meredith and derrick got together, although it was predictable, because really its all about sex for them anyway, since she never opens up to him about anything...and i still love mcsteamy..he is sooo cute....the deer scene was different and added a little humor! But all in all it was ok...i still love the show though and hope it will get better...xoxo
