Great job with the promo. Finally this season will have Harry Shum Jr getting significant moments on the show.
I am completely ready for Glee this season. The promo looks so good. I  John Stamos!
This was a great episode. I liked that Santana's role has definately increased on the show and Jessie joining the school for Rachel was awesome. Hopefully he gets most of the leads from now on. Side note I found it funny the people who Sue recruited where Kurt and Mercedese really they don't get enough solos but Dijon Talton hasn't talked at all on the show wouldn't he have been someone better recruited or Brittany as it would allow them to showcase their singing ability as well as they are great dancers. Mike Chang would have done fine as well though he has talked several times.
Yeah...I know you said that a while ago, but it doesn't look like that's happening. What'd everyone think of the premiere? Brittany's "Stop the violence" when Santana and Quinn were fighting was priceless!
What'd everyone think of the premiere? Brittany's "Stop the violence" when Santana and Quinn were fighting was priceless!
Anything Brittany does will always be my favorite part of the episode. "People thought I went on vacation but actually, I spent the summer lost in the sewers." Overall it was way better than I thought it was going to be. I already can tell though next week's episode will be way better.
The premiere was decent. Honestly though, besides the football coach I really didn't like the additions. As for the development of Finn's character this looks very interesting. Also looking forward to Mike O'Malley becoming a regular and Mike Chang actually getting a story arch.
I wasn't super impressed with the premiere to be honest. It was good, but I guess I just expected so much more. I felt bad for the football coach when Will told her she couldn't sit with him. :(

I actually really enjoyed the premiere. I was disappointed that Sunny went to Vocal Adrenaline though. However, Sue Sylvester never disappoints. That character is always on point. Oh, and Brittney... she's fabulous.. "Although, I sorta want to touch hers". LMAO! She's great. That being said.. I'm STOKED for next week. Eee!
Yeah, what's the deal with Sunshine? Was she just a one time character? I'm guessing Sam will come back since he still attends William McKinley.
Yeah, what's the deal with Sunshine? Was she just a one time character? I really liked her and I hope she comes back. I wasn't a big fan of Sam though. His big lips/mouth annoyed me and so does his Bieber cut. The football coach, I'm still kind of iffy about, but I think I want to see more of her first. 10 points if you caught the Glee quote and realized I wasn't really trying to be arrogant! ;)
Just started watching. Might be the funniest show on TV.
Didn't really like today's episode. The songs in the first 2 episodes I have found to be pretty weak. At least next week they'll have losing my religion, only the good die young among others. Man Billy Joel is much overdue for this show.

Best Glee episode!
Best Glee episode!
Agreed! Except I wouldn't have given 'Baby One More Time' to Lea to sing. And Terri needs to go away.
Agreed! Except I would've given 'Baby One More Time' to Lea to sing. And Terri needs to go away.
Um...Lea did sing "Baby One More Time".
Um...Lea did sing "Baby One More Time".
Oh wow, I just saw what I typed. Meant to say I wouldn't have given her the song to sing.
Best Glee episode!
I was really expecting something better. I personally think the Gaga episode and a few others were better. I wasn't a big fan of the dream sequences. I would say it was an okay episode and I'm hoping the next few will be fantastic. Although based on the previews for next week, I'm sure I will cry.
Oh wow, I just saw what I typed. Meant to say I wouldn't have given her the song to sing.
I felt that she was awkward in that dream sequence...The dancing, the faces...it just didn't go imo. she looked great in her school girl outfit though. I was also a lil put off by Santana's dancing...is it just me or is she not that great either...but then again, maybe it was just the fact that Heather Morris is such an awesome dancer the rest paled in comparison. LOVE LOVE LOVED the Toxic scene though...the frizzy haired kid cracked me up this entire episode!
I agree, the episode wasn't great (weak episode plot and lack of connection between dream sequences and real life; also, some of the editing was odd), but it had its highlights/funny moments. Most memorable moments IMO: The Toxic performance and Britney S. Pierce LOL
the frizzy haired kid cracked me up this entire episode!
Really? I was totally creeped out by him. I think it was a little too far out there to have him ************ naked in the school library. Awkward. But Sue's line about the naked butt sweat was pretty funny. I didn't like this episode much either. I think it showcased everything that can go wrong in Glee. The dream sequences at the dentist office just didn't fit or really make sense. There was no real plot this week or character arc and I get bored quickly when they just remake videos shot for shot. I don't really mind when an episode is created around a certain artist but I do want it to actually move the story forward. I also thought all the little lines like "Leave Brittany alone!" were kind of lazy and lost their laughs for me after the third and fourth times they were used. I'm glad Heather Morris got a showcase though because they girl can dance!

I agree that Rachel was awkward in her number. I just don't think BS is a good fit for her. She rocked the Paramore song. Also, I don't care for whiney "I don't want to lose Finn" Rachel. She's much better when she's being overly confident and neurotic. Brittney was amazing. I love her one liners and this episode didn't disappoint. (ex: "Are you a cat?" or when she was fist pumping in a show of unity during class.) I'd really like to see more Puck, Quinn, Mercedes, and Tina. So far this season, they haven't done much. Although, I must say the Asian Camp story last week was pretty funny. "He's interested in the things I'm interested in.... Like his abs."
I liked Brittany's little speach about how she wants all the solos and she is more talented than anyone there and ended it with "It's Brittany *****"
LOL, yes, that was really funny. I liked how she paused before she said ***** lmao. Oh, one last thing, Britney's cameo was kind of a letdown. They had the opportunity to work with one of the biggest pop stars in the world, and that's what they come up with for her scenes? They could have used her sooo much better IMO.
I wasn't super impressed with this episode to be honest... I guess all the hype for it made me think it would be a lot better than it really was. It was good to see Brittany get an episode centered around her. I laugh so hard every time she says something. Some note worthy Brittany quotes: "I don't want to do Britney Spears songs. My name is also Brittany, my last name is Pierce and my middle initial is S." (I know I messed it up) "It's Brittany... *****." "I touched a snake." "I should get all of the solos from now on. I had a Britney Spears fantasy and I danced better than her. I learned that I'm more talented than anyone." I probably messed those all up, but you get the jist. I thought the actress who played Brittany had a fantastic voice by the way... She sounded like an alto. :)
I absolutely adore Britney Spears and was SO excited for the Spears themed episode of Glee but I'm sad to say it was a major letdown. One of my biggest gripes was the fact that most of the musical numbers brought nothing to the plot and just seemed to be thrown together to mimic music videos. With the Lady Gaga and Madonna episodes the music and artists brought things to the storyline, with Britney her entire appearance was because of laughing gas?!?!?!? LOL. It just seemed really silly and thrown together. I'm not gonna give up on Glee but so far the two episodes of this new season have left me very unimpressed. :(
Last nights episode easily trumped the two previous ones. Not only was the storyline much better but the song selection as well was quite better. This episode also spread the solos around much better. It was great hearing Aretha Franklin, Billy Joel, REM and others in this episode. With that being the case I did find Kurt's perfomance of Hold your hand to be good but I would have much rather seen him perform John Lennon believe as that was the mood he potrayed throughout most of the episode and without that song it felt somewhat lacking the spirituality episode.
Glee was great. I cried. Best episode so far. End of story :D
Incredible episode! I like when they have different people sing rather than just Finn and Rachel for every song. It seemed very well spread out for everyone as Puck, Mercedes, Rachel, Kurt, Finn, and Tina all got to sing this episode. Next week should be good! Happy to see that Sam is joining Glee Club, but now that he doesn't have football what else was expected?
