Empty V?
Sci-Fi changing their name is causing a lot of ridicule in the blogsphere. I tend to agree it is quite ridiculous. SyFy? Um, not so much... I caught this comic today and loved the proposed MTV name. It is so fitting, lol. lol nice! I heard about this earlier in the week and all I can think is..."Um, what are you trying to do"? (Other than help out the Hooked on Phonics dropouts)
Why the HELL would Sci-Fi change to that!? and yeah.... Empty V is extremely fitting!
They want to not be associated with Science Fiction (i.e. they want to become USA Deux.)
figures..... oh well no more ****** low budget horror movies! :ohwell:
Are they beginning to air lots of non-Sci-Fi programming? Wtf?
Yup... All these cable channels want to spread their wings and get out of the niche markets as they feel their ponds are too small. Eventually cable will be one giant homogeneous bore fest with lowest common denominator programing to reach the widest audience. It is already getting there. Remember when History Channel use to have history stuff on it? Ahh, those were the days. Now all you get "monster hunting" programs with a decade old modern marvels thrown in now and again for good measure. The only good change of late had to be TNN going to Spike. At least now they have Bond. And [strike]Court TV[/strike] Tru TV does have, um....well court stuff I guess and cops...
That is too funny, B...I think Empty V works great!
