Did Brooklyn Change the Real World?
I was reading the thread when the 1st episode premiered. Most of us said that this was going to change the way BMP casted and edited the show. With the ending just next week and the RW Cancun (during spring break) can we still be sure that the RW is once again an inspirational show. Without the drinking, partying and sex will the show last or is it going back to its old ways?
BMP and MTV will do whatever it takes to bring in ratings.
I think that Hollywood and Brooklyn helped bring the show back to its roots, however, the Las Vegas mentality also brought in a shit-ton of ratings. Like LilysMom said - whatever brings in the ratings will determine the show's future. Hopefully BMP can keep the casting quality at a high though. They did a great job with casting the Brooklyn group.
I hope so, I deffinetly liked this season and Hollywood more than past seasons. I guess we'll have to wait until Cancun to see what they do with it.

I would ask, has Brooklyn restored the Real World (to be like pre-Las Vegas)? I would guess that the pendulum swings back quickly with Cancun. One wonders what social issues or interesting personality development would go on there.
Given the insider info I'm hearing about Season 23 casting, I think it will be more like Brooklyn while the Cancun season may be more like a combination of Hollywood, San Diego and Las Vegas. The Brooklyn season opens the door for a Washington DC season not to be seen as ground breaking in the sense that the cast will be politically or social issues motivated.
