Isn't it too early to say this is a one-sided challenge considering we don't even know what the challenge is? For all we know Abram, Brad, Derrick, and Johnny are separated from one another.
I was banned once for being honest on here and misunderstood, so I tread carefully. Ok, you rely on optimism, I'll go with statistical data, past challenge info, and coincidence. Do the math from molds13 own elimination list. Yeah, it could be something different, perhaps a 3 team challenge or 5 team challenge with them all on opposing sides, true. However, there is and has always been a common denominator with people like Johnny, Dunbar, Jenn, etc who have found a way to linger around longer than people who are stronger, more athletic, and with more courage than them. Name a challenge past the Duel 1 that didn't consist of this element.
I agree with you for the possible Abe/Derrick/Johnny ..... and also Brad and Dunbar alliance possibility. It's sad challenge after challenge to see lower lever tier players scam there way to the end. As for Abram Boise, I'll say this .................. he was once the most respected competitor imo, now he has become unsure of himself and anytime he feels that he has to align himself with people like Johnny and Dunbar; whom someone like CT has often discarded as dead weight; says alot to where Abram is against the top tier players like Landon, CT, and Alton.
What lower tier players have scammed their way to the end? FM2- top three teams there got top 3 spots. The Ruins- top players there won. Island- Top 4 players won. Duel 2- Top players made the final 8 (Landon should have made the final). Besides The Duel 2- the top players won. G3 was a fluke..and Duel 1 CT probably would have won, but either way Brad, CT, Evan and Wes were all strong players. So the idea that lower-tier players are "scamming" (I could go on for a page about that...) doesnt make sense. Also- We dont know what alliance Abe was in, if he was in one at all. For all we know he went into 3 eliminations. BUT- even if he was- who cares??? Alliances are about getting far in the game. If Abe was in an alliance he did it to help himself get farther. Landon, CT, and Alton would do the same thing....in fact..Landon just did. Unless you have just mastered "Inception" and can access Abe's mind, please dont say stuff about him 'doubting' himself just based on an elimination order.

I'm glad they decided to shake things up and go with three teams. Perhaps the winning team got to choose a player from each of the losing teams to face off in an elimination? Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing how this season pans out.

They may have coexisted peacefully, on the Island, but I don't recall Abram ever bending his will or decisions to what Johnny or Dunbar wanted. Also, until I see Johnny perform poorly on any challenge, I don't see the merit in calling him 'dead weight.'

As for Abram, well the verdict is still out on him, you're correct. However, I stand by what I suspect and if wrong, I'll be more than happy to acknowledge it publicly to the entire vevmo world. I say this though, the old Abram even up into the Island welcomed a challenge from a strong opponent.

If Johnny knows how to play the game and have people listen to him and protect him then props to him.
Enough. Darock: if you keep saying that you think you might get banned for what you're about to say...you should probably rethink it. Discussion about alliances from OTHER challenges and people NOT ON THIS CHALLENGE belongs in the generic challenge thread...not this one.
It is a 3 team challenge.
Hmm, interesting....

So 3 teams, that's so cool. I have a feeling the winning team stays out of elimination, the two teams face off, and the losers will vote off a member. That may also explain Camilas lasting stay, because her team probably dominated. Just a guess, probably wrong...
Since its a 3 team challenge, I wonder how the teams will be split up. Since there are 30 cast members, its obviously 10 people on each team. I think maybe there will be a team captain determined and they will choose team mates for their team. Then the winning team of the challenge will be safe and the other two teams will go into the elimination round. Then which ever team loses, maybe their captain goes home similar to the Gauntlet 2, or maybe will just vote off a weak member of the team. This sounds pretty exciting.

Of course, it could also just be a nickname or something completely different.

The two losing team will face off (just like on the Spring Challenge), and the losing team captains are either eliminated (which drama can be brought in if the team purposely loses), or there's a vote off. There's also a possibility that a person can't be a captain more than once, until everyone on the team has been a captain. Either way, I think this challenge wil be a combination of Gauntlet 2 and the Sping Break challenge. This will also make sense, because Camila has a reason to be there, and why some strong competitors went home.
I know I'm not supposed to speculate on what type of challenge this is, but other people are doing it so I'ma do it to. I thought about this for a minute. Since Brandon called Camila captain, there may be captains involved like the gauntlet 2 as people have speculated. Since there are 3 teams, there must be 6 captains (3 male, 3 female). I've looked at the cast and the most logical way i think the captains would be picked would be the champions. Six people in the cast have won a past challenge. Abram, Derrick, Johnny, Katie, Tori, and Camila (if you count the Spring Break Challenge, she was on team Susie and team Susie won). And then the team captains pick teams like when kids pick teams for sports during recess. That's just what I'm thinking because I can't seem to divide this cast into 3 teams evenly. If this is the case, this might be a way to even out the teams a little bit. The most recent team challenges (Ruins and Gauntlet 3) have been very lob sided. Maybe this is BMP's way of trying to even out the teams a little and make it more interesting to watch.
Wow. Nice job, I don't think I would have ever noticed that.
Yeah that was a good call by the previous poster. Yet i wonder how were the 6 captains split into 3 teams before the picking or appointing of the other cast were selected. Nevertheless, if the split is divided by the 6 previous winners, then I can see each team voting to establish numbers & perhaps strength which may explain so many rookie departures at the early stages. I really hope that people weren't carried and that they earned their keep.
There was probably one male and one female captain on each team. Maybe the Male Captains picked the males on the team while the Female Captains picked the females on the team?
Just throwing my random opinion in there since apparently the concept of following the rules has been thrown out the window. If there are 3 teams of 10...they've got to find a way to make it fairly even... Oh, and if BMP classifies Camila as a champion, they've already failed. I highly highly highly highly highly doubt that they let the 6 champions be the captains.

This also makes it seem like they would consider her some type of champion. That's not to say they would put her on the champions team for a Ruins Challenge, but you never know. If this is a challenge with three teams, I think the champions as captains theory has some validity to it. (Bare with me, I'm speculating) What crossed my mind was what if they do something like have a first face-off challenge (kind of like the tug-of-war game at the beginning of Gauntlet III) and the first guy and girl to win would be captains of one team, then the next two guy and girl winners are the captains of the next team, and same for the final two. Then there might be some sort of draft. Like say Abram and Tori are the first team captains, they get to start with a male pick (like Brad :D), then the next team gets a guy pick, and then the third team. Then the first team gets a girl pick, and so on. It would make the teams even by gender and at least somewhat "fair." (I apologize for speculating on what the challenge is. I am just very excited for it.)

Each team will have 5 girls and 5 guys. I also think that they will be fairly even in terms of rank. I don't see anyone being enough of an ***** to split up Brad and Tori either.
(I apologize for speculating on what the challenge is. So speculate away...

I don't know why but it just seems like they probably did because this challenge is set up perfect for them. I honestly want Brad to win and could care less if Tori won so I don't mind it if they were split up.

It couldn't be discussed in the generic thread because the posts would probably contain spoilers.

If it is three teams, wouldn't it be a smart move to split up Brad and Tori (I got the door Tor, I got the door Tor- quick what movie?) They have more of a chance winning. And if it is 2 teams, wouldn't it be better for them to be on opposite teams, so they can use the money for their brand spankin' new marriage.

It's hard to say...if they were on the same team and won, they'd have more money. But if they were on different teams and only one person won, they wouldn't win as much.

Anyway I agree with you, but its a gamble... win all or lose all... I am not such a gambler... I rather be safe than sorry!
Do you guys think that the teams are set before the cast arrive or that there is a challenge and the top 3 competitors pick their teams?
