I honestly would have loved to see him at the end of the Duel 2 or FM2. You need Stamina... What the **** happened to him at the end?
Until he does something to change people's minds, he is forever going to be known as a liability.
Ty needs to start running. It kind of shocks me that he's not well-conditioned because he was a college athlete...but maybe he stopped running after he wasn't forced to by a coach.
Until he does something to change people's minds, he is forever going to be known as a liability.
He's gonna become the new Eric.
He's gonna become the new Eric.
I was thinking the exact same thing last night!!! I wonder if Johnny is gonna have trust issues with him if theyre on the same team on another challenge.
Probably not trust so much as a straight-up "get off my team" type deal. Honestly, he seemed like the kind who could perform well on missions but then be an anchor for the final, but he didn't even do well on challenges. What a waste.
I was really confused by how long he laid on the ground. I thought that maybe, somehow, he got the wind knocked out of him. But after a while I was thinking that he was just being ridiculous.

What the **** happened? He wasn't even knocked down.
I was seriously confused as to what happened to him? Did his body just shut down? Did he have a pre-existing medical issue? What the **** happened? He wasn't even knocked down.
Watching the daily of it, it doesn't appear that he was pushed down hard enough to have the wind knocked out of him. Plus, on the show, he pushed away the medical person at first, didn't he? Once I saw there was no interview from him about being injured, I just figured he was being silly or acting or something. I didn't laugh at first because I thought something was wrong. It was just really bizarre.
It was bizarre. It really confused me... did he want to quit? I am sure if he spoke up and said just give me a few minutes they would have let him finish, but he was just lying there, not speaking.
Does anyone know what was posted on his Facebook when it was "hacked"? I remember it saying something about tug of war.

Very bizarre and I'm sure we'll never really find out what happened.
I think he was just too gassed to be able to beat Brandon and he knew it, and would have rather faked being completely out of it than going back in and being legitimately beaten.
I think he was just too gassed to be able to beat Brandon and he knew it, and would have rather faked being completely out of it than going back in and being legitimately beaten.
I don't really care for the kid, but he clearly had Brandon beat, and if he did nothing but just stand there, Brandon wasn't going to move him ...... especially if he's just hanging on as dead weight. In my opinion, this was his way of quitting because he didn't want to finish the season and didn't want to hear another TJ quitter speech. Obviously, no one wanted him there. Even if he had won, then what ...... undergo the same fate as Brandon and keep being sent in until he loses. I actually think he made a good play, especially since the next blue team loss assures that Johnny or Derrick goes in instead of him. I'm glad he pulled an Evelyn. He had the kid beat and let up for a reason that makes since ot me
Again, he totally didn't pull an Evelyn. He doesn't look like he has any stamina, and it looked like that in every challenge so far. No one will ever want him on their team for a final.
He sucks. There is no more need for discussion. :D
I would like to quote Ty here..."I'm clearly the best athlete on my team." Are you serious... I agree with an earlier comment. I don't think he wanted to just get beaten fair & square during the Gualog. He did horribly on almost every challenge. No stamina...and stamina defines athletes for the most part. With that being said.. I hereby give him the nickname "peacock". All show, no go.

I do think he'll for sure be on another one because of this event.
I agree. Blue team was so ****** and Ty was just laying there. I do think he'll for sure be on another one because of this event.
Absolutely true... If MTV and the BMP producers think he was good TV (and that is what their edit of him clearly suggests) then of course they would use him again (operative word: "use"). They got the very classic body builder vs aerobic conditioning story, they just didn't have the right two interviews to tell it well. They did the best they could with it by showing Brandon running outside in prep for the gulag, while using their anaerobic "buff" footage of Ty (gassed on the ground after the team comp, and after the gulag). If they could have shown footage of Ty lifting weights, they would have, but all they had was of him manhandling a bed and a plant. You use what you've got... If anyone assumes that the cast under contract for this show have any input to future casting decisions by MTV/BMP, you don't understand how they work as a business.
This guy is completely crazy! It's his first challenge and the way that he finds to be talked is by picking with his housemates. I prefer people that makes an impression by going to this things for being truly competitors, not drama queens.
He was a joke from the very beginning. It really ****** me off that his team was completely oblivious to how useless he was to them. They kept putting him on this pedestal, based on what? His "defeat" was one of the funniest things Ive seen on a challenge in a looooong time!
Personally, I found him entertaining...and stopped watching the show shortly after his departure. The fact that he seems to have some deep internal conflicts makes him a character who's drama entertains me. However, he probably won't be asked back, or last as long for that matter.

And the way he went out was strange and funny. BMP NEEDS ask him back becaue he's one of the few Rookies that made an impression on this challenge and I think he woud continue to make an Impression on future challenges.

A lot of rookies don't make an impression(positive or negative) because they either fade into the background or just leave too soon before really notice them. But he actually made an impression on the cast and the viewers and i think it'll be interesting to have him on another challenge.

Didnt he spill spoilers on his Facebook and Twitter when he was drunk?before the challenge aired. BMP seems to be way more strict these days so if they saw what he did I doubt he will be back (e.x David Leech: RR14 and Emilee Fitzpatrick RW:23).
I remember someone posting that somebody hacked Ty's Facebook.
Yes, but someone hacked Ty's Facebook account with extremely accurate information...he had to have told someone.
I didn't think he had a facebook. Well that's unfortunate lol.
I'm now catching up with this challenge and laughed so hard when Ty said he was by far the most athletic person on his team. It was even funnier when he lost to Brandon.
I'm now catching up with this challenge and laughed so hard when Ty said he was by far the most athletic person on his team. It was even funnier when he lost to Brandon.
Well, the definition of 'athletic' is physical fit, big, muscular. So he probably was the most athletic. Having said that, the guy should probably stay out the gym and go run some miles, build that stamina up lol
