First Appearance: Real World: Austin Single and ready to mingle..and maybe win a Challenge. Her first Challenge without any of the Austin people, and more importantly since getting divorced from Danny. Last time we saw her she was getting back in the head with a wooden plank on the Gauntlet 3, and then eliminated by her team. With her recent single status, and no Austin members to watch her back will Melinda go far or will another obstacle attack her before she can prove she belongs on her team? Will she hook up with someone or avoid going down the path of hooking up with another cast member, dating for a few years, getting married, then divorced? Previous Challenges: Fresh Meat, Gauntlet 3

I really love Melinda, but I was never a Danny fan whatsoever. I'm glad I can finally see her on a challenge without him.

I remember when I first watched the real world Austin preview show and they showed her I was really excited because she seemed wild as hell and a lot of fun like one of those cool funny party girls that's really entertaining but then the only thing she ever did on that show was stand in the shadow of Danny. I've always wondered what this chick is really like, like I wanna see her stand as her own person. I bet she's fun.

She is awesome!!![/QUOTE] I agree, I mean it's only her third challenge. So many people hav ehad to wait far passed their third to win, great competitors at that. And some still haven't. I don't think she's weak, she does well in missions and on Fresh Meat she had Ryan as a partner and was in the targetted aliance, and on the Gauntlet 3 she went against Tori...not really an easy road to victory. I was just thinking though, I never really liked Melinda or disliked her, she was just neutral but because of Danny I was never fond of her (them). But now I actually like her and think she's very likeable. Melinda-Danny=:good:

Well based on what we saw on The Real World and the challenges, Danny hasnt been the nicest person, and gets very angry very quickly. I cant imagine he was too pleasant to be around. I think Melinda being her own person on these shows will be a good thing, like she said we have always seen her with Danny and never by herself. I think she will do just fine. I'd like to see her on more challenges hopefully. :)

Melinda and Danny had the issues that all married couples face, and had the added disadvantage of dealing with the fact that they had a long-distance relationship (yes, even after they got married). They tried, but things didn't work out.

I found her quite annoying on her first 2 challenges, But she was quite pleasant on this one. Question: Did she makes finals on Gauntlet 3, I know a couple Austin kids did.

I wish we would have gotten to see more of her, but I don't think it was really necessary.

For some reason, this time around she really bored me. I'm not even sure how, because she was never that exciting in the first place, but I think I expected too much of her after learning she was on the challenge. Also, I don't know how she stayed so happy and calm after losing. I mean obviously I don't expect her to go Rachel or Vinny on everybody, but it didn't seem like she even cared, especially after the fact her "friends" put her in. Oh well, I like her and she seems like a great person, but I won't miss her much.

I think the only way the producers bring Melinda back is if Danny is on the challenge :s Even though I want her on the next challenge, she is one of my favorites
