Cut Throat - Dan Walsh

First Appearance: Road Rules: Viewers' Revenge Another member from the Viewers Revenge version of Road Rules, Dan last showed up on the Island were he spent 99.9% of the time drunk. This time around if he keeps the drinking in check he could possibly make it far, as he only had two chances to prove himself on the Island. Another factor is Robin, who was a distraction for Dan on the Island is nowhere to be seen on this Challenge. Will Dan be able to concentrate on the Challenge or will the girls and booze get in his way? Previous Challenges: The Island

And he is back for another shot. Also, to add this is his first time competing in actual challenges.

Dan is so hot. Grey team FTW!!!
I like 'drinking' boys, cauze they bring good show. So... Go Dan.
I don't think you'll see the same Dan you saw on The Island. According to MTV.com, he's has been sober for a while now. So for his own sake, I hope he continues on that path.
I dont mind that Dan wont be drinking this time around. I've just always liked him since Viewer's Revenge.

It's never a good thing to be sober on these things. I hope he stuck with it while he was there.

A person can have fun and still not drink, it's definitely possible. If you're sober you probably have a better mindset and you're less likely going to get DQ'd on an elimination. ;) I agree with you on that last part though, I hope he stuck with his sobriety as well.

Well I meant all of the temptation probably jeopardized his sobriety.
I want a sober Dan; one who can compete. Then, we can get married.
I like him. all-around cool guy, not a mean bone in his body.
I like him. all-around cool guy, not a mean bone in his body.
Yeah he is funny. Loved the daily with Luke where he said something to the effect that Luke had enough hemp clothing that if it ever caught fire, the whole house would get high.
I like him so much better now than on the Island and the RV.
Did anyone else hear his Christopher Walken impersonation ?? Dan sounded just like Walken , it was hilarious. And Dan also did a Kenny impersonation ... it was damn good too. He done this all on Derrick and Kenny's podcast. He's really a cool dude it seems and he's definitely funny as hell.
His Kenny impersonation was spot-on. Cracked me up. Not only the voice but the manner in which he spoke. Their stories from The Island were pretty funny too.
I hope Dan becomes a "career challenger", he's one of those guys that is hard to not like.
I hope Dan becomes a "career challenger", he's one of those guys that is hard to not like.
I would love if that were to happen; however I think he has a wrestling gig going on.
The good thing about him not being a part of the big 3 (WWE, TNA or ROH), he can book in advance, and if he knows he has a Challenge he doesnt need to book a show.
He was one of the few good things about Viewers Revenge(God that was a horrible season). So I'm glad to have him on this challenge.
Dan is very quickly moving up my list of favorites, between the dailies and the podcast with Derrick and Kenny. He's hilarious. I definitely want to see him more in the future.
He is very funny and cool. I hope he will come back for more.
I didn't know who he was, but I have to say that I'm liking the way he is in this game. It takes a lot of interior strenght to be able to resist to alcohol being a former alcoholic. He is doing great, I'm definitely rooting for him, he is a funny and lay back guy and I wish the best for his life.
Sad to see him go. He was one of my favourites on the show. Hope to see him more times.
Me too. He has come a long way since The Island.
Well done Dan! I'll miss you on this show and I hope we will see you in the future.
What i reallly liked about Dan in this challenge, is that he came off like a real 3 dimensional person.. wanted to compete, wanted to prove he was able to compete, wanted to overcome the last memory we had of him as a complete drunk wreck on the island.. he was funny, he like to have fun with the guys, but he also gave reasoned opinions, and even play the role of peacemaker if needed.. great team player.. had his flaws but admitted it openly.. when he did great on a challenge, you could tell he was proud, but didnt go flaunt it.. and when he did poorly he accepted and was willing to make up for it.. his moment of doubt of mantaining his sobriety was such a real moment.. too often the challengers seem caricatures.. the angry one, the weak one, the alpha dog, the follower, the background extras, etc.. that we ended up not caring for them as persons, and watch the challenge just as you would any sporting event, 2 teams, or different competitors, just tell us who won.. but having someone like Dan, makes us remember the Challenge original mission, to have the guys we came to know in different levels on the Real World or Road Rules competing.. but at the same catching up with them, how they have been, what are they going through, who they are.. im truly glad Dan let us experience that feeling again.
He is amazingly hot!
I hope to see him on another challenge.
Don't ever drink dairy.
I forgot he was on this challenge. Who sent him home?
