The Challenge: Unpopular Opinions

There's nothing wrong with a rivalry lasting multiple seasons...Kate-Veronica lasted for a while and it was great...by far the best ever because it was legit.

Well noone said that. The problem is when a rivalry spawns multiple seasons and does't materialize into anything entertaining or memorable. Katie/Veronica produced one of the best fights in Challenge history. Kenny/Wes? Nothing. Nothing interesting, memorable, or entertaining was produced in thatand THAT'S  why it sucked IMO.

I've heard a number of cast members vouch for it. I've heard very few negative opinions of off-camera Kenny and a lot of positive ones...even after the alleged Tonya incident. Even Katie has said that she thinks he's funny in real life when she doesn't have to be on the same team as him.

That doesn't mean he's any different. It just means they probably tolerate his behavior, it could mean just about anything.

This doesn't make sense

How does it not make sense? They more than likely tolerate his behavior/his usual personality off the camera than they do on camera.

Why would the tolerate it more off camera than they do on when they don't have to tolerate it?  Makes no sense

It has nothing to do with having to? You said people have given their opinions, so obviously they bother themselves with the guy.

You're still not making any sense...that's fine

lol Alright, I'm the one not making sense.

He's right. They don't have to associate themselves with him off of the show. They don't have to tolerate him. They clearly enjoy being around him or else they wouldn't do it...unlike on the shows where they're forced.

But I'm not sure where I've said that they have to tolerate him?

I wouldn't say Kenny-Wes was nothing.  Most of it is memorable.  Whether it is interesting/entertaining is a personal opinion.  Many probably love the Kenny-Wes bullshit.  I wasn't a fan because I never really cared about either but it wasn't nearly as pointless as you're stating.  I think your bigger problem with it is that it took air time and you don't like anything that gives Fresh Meat air time.

Please re-read everything that has been said.  Please.  Either you said something you didn't mean to say or you're not being clear enough for anyone to follow.

Oh and Kenny and Wes Both suck

Kenny has NEVER been funny or entertaining, His whole Mr. Beautiful thing was lame as ****. He was always just..there. He was also very arrogant for no reason and on top of that he is a Not a real castmember. He's also not ever likable. I've never understood his appeal.

Wes was always a D-bag. He was very Thirsty on his RW season and he was an *** in almost all of the challenges he's been on. His persona is not entertaining at all and he is a very poor villian for these shows.

So if you ask me both of them just suck.

Which is why a rivalry between the two of them to you is pointless.

I might not be explaining it right because I'm tired, or I said something I didn't mean to say, but either way, you're implying that they don't have to tolerate/like him off camera, and I get that, though they clearly do if they have an opinion of him.  I'm just asking where I've mentioned that anyone has to tolerate him.

It has nothing to do with  the hate I have for Fresh Meat. I honestly feel like NONE of it was memorable. I mean nothing about it sticks out and nothing about it was just any good. Alot of other Rivalries such as Katie/Veronica, Beth/Tonya, Coral/Jule and Frank/Dustin/Nany and hell even Ryan/Preston Produced something memorable or entertaining. With each of those I can find something I remember or get excited about. I can't do that with Kenny/Wes, Hell I don't even remember how it started. just pointless and forgetable. And it also took up way too much screentime.

No. I can enjoy rivalries of people I hate. For Example I didn't like Trisha or Parisa but I loved the drama they produced on RW. And on Cutthroat I loved the little spat that Jenn/Paula had and I hate both of them. And I loved Laurel Ripping in to Paula on Rivls despite me hating both of them. Laurel and Eric was good too.

So it really has nothing to do with me hating them.

And Johanna has no respect for herself if she ****** that Idiot.

Yeah how wouldn't you know what started it unless you completely blocked out the whole island and ruins

Lol but you would still know considering it was a huge part of the Ruin's storyline..

I'm not playing anything. And I don't see what mentioning episodes has to do with anything. What else am I supposed to talk about?

And you're right I am a long time viewer. Been watching since the Extreme Challenge(2001..Ah the good old days) But I honestly don't see your point.

That as a long time viewer you know exactly what created the bullshit rivalry.  Acting as though you can't recall that is playing stupid to try and sell the point it wasn't memorable.  It got way too much air time for a long time viewer not to know.  You know exactly how it started.

No. Johanna had several talks with Wes about their friendship and the Kenny situation throughout the game. It was also addressed on the reunion and it was even addressed on the FM2 reunion #justsaying

Okay you got me. I do remember...but I did say that I try to block The Island and The Ruins out of my mind so that should have been obvious.

But again just because I remember how it started doesn't make it memorable and it doesn't change the fact that nothing happened and it didn't produce anything entertaining. Name ONE memorable thing about that fued. Just one.

I'll wait.

I don't recall any of that. All I remember is Johanna threatening to sell their house if he didn't stop acting up(A ***** move if you ask me). And I don't even recall it being talked about at the FM2 reunion either.

Some of you act like children and I don't understand it.

BTW, asking if someone can recall anything memorable is completely subjective.  And because you are clearly biased about Wes and Kenny of course you aren't going to find anything about them memorable.

You can go back and watch (doubt you will) but it is brought up numerous times and during different seasons. No point in arguing with you.

See here we go again with the Biased crap. Why is it that whenever I state an opinion it's biased? I just gave several examples of how castmembers I hate have had memorable moments. Why the hell am I not allowed to have a opinion?

Kenny/Wes fued went nowhere. It never got heated in a way that Katie/Veronica did. It never produced good quotes like Julie/Coral did and it never got ugly in the way that Frank/Dustin/Nany did. It took way too much screentime for a rivalry that was as uneventful as that. Now I understand that is an opinion and that it is subjective and if that makes me biased than oh well I guess I'm biased.

You're right I won't watch those shitty seasons again so I'll take you're word for it.

There is nothing wrong with being biased.  However, you have to cknowledge that what you deem uneventful others might deem memorable.

Well that's not really fair since I assume you also blocked out the entire season of FM2 like you did The Island, so to say that "nothing" came out of those 2 fighting is a little ludicrous.

Also, I personally thought it was hilarious when Kenny carried Wes on his back during the Rivals Final challenge, or does that not count as a memorable thing as well?
