THIS. You know a show is on it's last strings when it has to depend on 3-4 castmembers out of hundreds.
The problem is how they handled cast members. They needed to always have a balance of old and new. They lost that following the Ruins (maybe FM2) and never got it back.
I always knew you weren't a true Challenge fan. Just stop watching the show if it bothers you so much.
-_____- really?
The problem is how they handled cast members. They needed to always have a balance of old and new. They waited way too long to introduce NOLA2 and dropped the ball with DC
The problem is how they handled cast members. They needed to always have a balance of old and new. They lost that following the Ruins (maybe FM2) and never got it back.
That was their problem, there were a lot of people that had potential, but we haven't seen them yet because they always had JEK, Jenn, Paula, CT, Wes. That's why I have loved the seasons from BOTS-Free Agents, because they have introduced a lt of new people to the show.
The problem is how they handled cast members. They needed to always have a balance of old and new. They lost that following the Ruins (maybe FM2) and never got it back.
It's their fault & no one else's. So many who still want to do the show, from the newer seasons, what I call the middle seasons (San Diego - Hollywood) even from the single-digit seasons (Beth/Syrus/Ruthie/Belou), yet the way that they've handled this show since 2007-08 shows so much. They wonder why they now have to scramble & come up w/ lame themes to keep this show going.
Competition is key to me but this kills the story line. I don't want another season decided to the worst romance ever.
To me it doesn't really bring any competition, diem is not a strong physical competitor, I give her extreme credit for beating cancer but she's just not a good physical player, nany is much stronger than her the only teams that could have had potential to give bananas and nany competition epild he ct or Jordan with laurel, Darrel and Rachel and MAYBE Abe and cara but they're together rn anyway
Mhmm no they weren't you are new to this site, but back then Cara Maria had a form spring and she used to answer questions. She clearly stated in one of those that her and Abram were together in long distance relationship, he wanted her to moved to Montana. While Heather/Dustin were together since their Vegas reunion, but they broke up on camera before that after she found out his secret so they used that as footage. But both couples were together at the time.
Heather even said for the one Challenge - since Dustin and I are currently hooking up I hope this helps us.
Just like when you thought CT and Diem were not together but yet they were!
I'm sure you are trying to make a point, but I have absolutely no idea what it is. This kind of stupidity is why I prefer not to respond to children here.
They clearly stated they were together by the way: Get More: The Challenge (Season 22), Full Episodes Get More: The Challenge (Season 22), Full Episodes Back to speculation lol
Lol - I love that you broke over video clips to shut people up.
My prediction for the final 3 couples are CT & Diem, Bananas & Nany and Johnny Reilly & Averey. Zach & Jonna are another possibility, but Jonna is not good in eliminations and that could cost them. I know many think Wes & Theresa are gonna do well, but I don't agree... I don't even think they'll make it far to be honest.
You never cancel anything that can be kept alive
Some things need to be put out of Misery..And I starting to think this show is one of those things. I mean why do we need to see Ct/Diem again? What more do we need to see of them? And Same for Backpack too. There's no reason for him to be on either. And don't even say ratings because last seasons ratings sucked and Ct/Backpack were on it so clearly they don't bring in that many viewers. If this show can't stay on the air without them then it needs to end. This show was never supposed to be about 1-2 people. It's supposed to be about a group of Real World/Road Rules castmembers interacting and competing. Not The CT/Diem Love Story and Not the Johhny Backpack show. I mean at this point it should be called The Challenge with CT and Johnny Backpack.

They each have their strengths and weaknesses. If a team or pair had Emily, Laurel or Evelyn, the team wouldn't necessarily dominate, it would be as strong as their male partner. I think we're going to see the same thing w/this one. Once CT and Diem got over themselves on Exes I, they did well. The interesting thing to watch for is if production builds the challenges to favor a team like CT & Diem ~ swimming, running, puzzles, problem solving as opposed to more physical ones.

Isaac was in speculation and then PR just took it away. Just kill my dreams... Just kill em all. Diem? ew why? I thought she wasn't coming back. What the **** happened?
The problem last season was the lack of promotion and the night change.....
I still don't buy the night change. The horrible promotion was a factor and until they start marketing this on channels other than MTV they're screwed.

A balanced cast with equal parts seasoned vets and equal parts rookies is the best way to ease the newbies in. This allows the viewers to learn about a few new recruits to the challenge while still being comfortable and familiar with the rest of the cast. It was too overloaded with rookies on BOTS and that is ultimately why it flopped. Loading a cast with the same old vets season after season isn't the answer either. Viewers get sick of that after awhile (proven by Free Agents). This is why there needs to be an equal balance with legends/veterans and rookies/first timers.
While you guys are all bent out of shape about CT and Diem, I'm over here excited to see the explosion kids. I want Thomas to make it far lol he's entertaining as ****.
I thought Cutthroat had a very good balance & should honestly be the go-to newer challenge to look at when trying to cast them.

In my opinion, Fresh Meat 2 shouldn't have happened. Because of that, a lot of rookies from DC, Brooklyn, New Orleans, etc didn't get cast, then on Seasons they had to introduce a ton of people. They should have had introduced NOLA earlier IMO.
While you guys are all bent out of shape about CT and Diem, I'm over here excited to see the explosion kids. I want Thomas to make it far lol he's entertaining as hell.
I also like Thomas, hope he makes it far.

Ok now that I have painfully caught up on this thread and learned nothing that I didn't already know on Friday, I will throw my two sense in on the Diem stuff. She is obviously a good person in real life. It really stinks she had to go through cancer twice at such a young age. I wouldn't wish that upon anyone. I think what she is doing with her charity is great, and I feel like her being so open with everything (like the videos of her losing her hair) probably helped a ton of people. With that said, I am not a fan of Reality Star Diem. I think she is ditzy, annoying, and feels like she has entitlement. I think its a total cop out to say you are done with the Challenges because production didn't protect you, you don't like the person you are on them, etc. etc. and then go back on. I do however like seeing CT with Diem. He is such a bad ***, we have seen him have so meaningless *** and use girls on these shows and he just really come across as a dog. But then you see him with Diem (like the scene of them in the pool) and my heart just melts. I totally feel these two should be together so that side of me is excited to see them together. But with all that said, if you have gone to great lengths to hide your relationship from your fans and social media, then why are you opening it back up to everyone?! I played her end of yr Instagram video when she made it and it was like he didn't exist. So odd. And finally, I hope they don't edit this show to make it appear like they are Exes. Just be real with it. Everyone already knows you come up with these lames themes then spin them to make it work so you can get who you want.
The problem is how they handled cast members. They needed to always have a balance of old and new. Because people got attached to them and now won't watch without them on it. New people constantly need to be introduced on a show like this and you can't rely on the same people to keep coming back with a show like this either because people move on and stop doing them(Or in Evan/Kenny's situation get banned). Every season should have a different as possible cast than the last and BMP failed on that part.
While you guys are all bent out of shape about CT and Diem, I'm over here excited to see the explosion kids. Cory was an unstable hothead on his season and Brian was a strange and hard to figure out dude as well. It also would have been interesting to see if Cory could have backed up his bold guarantee about easily winning a challenge easily. It's a shame he got screwed over because of the theme BS while CT apparently gets a repeat partner and Johnny B. gets an off-camera stretch just because they are important enough in BMP's eyes (even though FA's ratings would heavily suggest otherwise).

It's a shame...
Stereotypical question but does anybody know if Leroy and Nia can swim? (I don't remember Leroy being a good swimmer but I could be wrong).

Bringing back fan favorites = ratings.
Stereotypical question but does anybody know if Leroy and Nia can swim?
Leroy can't swim for ****. He even admitted it on an Aftershow he was in. There was even a little clip show where he couldn't even float lol
Stereotypical question but does anybody know if Leroy and Nia can swim? (I don't remember Leroy being a good swimmer but I could be wrong).
Let's put it this way, mike swam faster then Leroy after Leroy fell on him and he was extremely disoriented. Nia no clue

For example, Sarah being on 7 straight challenges or whatever never bothered me. Sarah doesn't dominate the show and she got screwed multiple times but there's no need to see the same dozen people be the core of the show every season. If I get bored this week I'll go back and come up with what I would have liked to have seen the casts over the years to keep the show strong with balance. Doesn't mean they all would have done it but just how I would have tried to cast things.
