Original Season: Real World: Brooklyn Status: Rookie Challenges Won: None Rival Teammate: Sarah Rice MTV Bio: One of the most colorful characters from Real World: Brooklyn, Katelynn is back for her second Challenge, and this time she's determined to prove herself. But we'll see how she does when paired with her rival, a sometimes bossy player who has accused her of being "no Olympic athlete." Katelynn is the first to admit that she has her weaknesses, "I don't do so well at heights and I have a deathly fear of water. And I'm not good at most sports." However, Katelynn insists that her intelligence has made her a go-to puzzle solver and that her martial arts skills will ensure that she is a force to be reckoned with.

Katelynn if you happen to read this i just want to say that I'm really rooting for you girl! Hopefully your partner doesn't have this "I'm top dog and you're not, so you have to listen to me" attitude this time around. Good luck!
Good to see Katelynn on a Challenge! I hope she performs well.
Katelynn isn't athletic, but I know she's not afraid of some drama. Hope she does well, and by well I mean brings some drama!

Good luck, Katelynn
Yes, good luck and have a safe recovery!
Is Katelynn still friends with Sarah? I just rewatched her season and it would be a shame to see Sarah hold a grudge towards Katelynn after the bonding they did in Brooklyn.
Hopefully the will have Katelyn on the reunion, thats when she is at her best.
She definitely makes me laugh. I love the way she took a swing at Laurel right away
Once again, I'm gonna reiterate what Sarah told Shauvon on Cutthroat. Why do people come on these things when you're just gonna be afraid and quit!?!??! What challenge doesn't have at least 2 or 3 missions where you're high up and might possibly fall into water if you don't complete it?! Seriously, people that quit really **** me off.
I've personally loved her character since Brooklyn (my favorite season since New Orleans), as I feel she's one of the most staple personalities with one of the most strong story-lines in Real World history. However, let's be honest here, she's not cut out for this game. She may have had a chance ten years ago when the competition wasn't marathon-running-obstacle-courses-for-body-builders. I'd love to see her on my TV any day and would be happy to see her back, but a challenge isn't her strong suit and not so sure she can win one.

I mean I don't have a problem with her but the challenges shes had to do didn't require you to be ridiculously strong or fast. Theres going to be challenges with heights, ones with water and ones with both. Personality is awesome when your on the real world but on the challenges, I rather see someone with fight in them and competitiveness. Both would be better but I will take the latter of the two.

The rest of your reply is more or less what I was saying, she's not cut out for this.
Katelynn, you said that you girls decided to throw the hammock mission, why weren’t you girls more obvious about it? Why are you the one who had to take the fall?
Why do people come on these things when you're just gonna be afraid and quit!?!??!
You clearly missed my post in the D-Day thread where I explained that Sarah had given me the green light to throw the challenge. Yes, that little snippet made it to the editing room floor, but that is beyond the realm of my purview. Not all skirmishes are worth winning, and sometimes it is perfectly viable to lose (or abandon) skirmishes altogether if it depletes resources which would otherwise be advantageous to you later on. But this is an Internet forum and I hardly expect you to understand my rationale or to have ever read Sun Tzu. At this point in the challenge I had jumped off a 12-story high waterfall, then shoveled my own weight in dirt before face-planting in water which had the surface tension of concrete. Do you really think I was going to be afraid of a ***** hammock?
Katelynn, you said that you girls decided to throw the hammock mission, why weren't you girls more obvious about it? Why are you the one who had to take the fall?
If we were obvious about it that would have completely defeated the purpose. The fact that everyone bought the "Katelynn is scared" ruse means it worked. And I was the obvious fall guy. Sarah would never be scared of a challenge so having her fake it wouldn't have been believable. After the previous challenge all of the girls were hurting. Even the invincible Evelyn was limping, and with a girl's elimination day 48 hours away (we were pretty much doing these back-to-back), risking an injury over a stupid challenge seemed foolish, especially when you're only talking about $600 after taxes at stake. The idea was to reduce our aggro (Sarah and Katelynn aren't a threat to us) and avoid injury. It worked.
Katelynn was it easy to work with Sarah during this challenge? or do you guys really hate each other to a certain point?.
Sarah is still my friend and I wouldn't say we hate each other to any point. I just don't think, for the survival of our friendship, we should compete in any more challenges together. Especially in instances where we are on the same team.
I just don't think, for the survival of our friendship, we should compete in any more challenges together. I mean you did what you had to do but I was a little disappointed tat you didn't compete this week. I understand why you didn't though as you have said earlier in another thread.
Assuming there are more challenges, will you be coming back to compete if asked?
Highly unlikely. A.) I'm no spring chicken, and there is nothing more depressing as realizing that you used to be very athletically competitive and that you aren't anywhere near your golden years. B.) I cannot stand the people anymore. I made friends with a good handful of individuals, but for the most part I don't give a crap about inane gossip and stale, formulaic 'alliances'. C.) Editing sucks. Haters suck more. I'd love to do television again, real television. Creative television. Intellectual television, if such a thing exists any more. As much as the stamps on the passport compel my gypsy soul, I don't know that the "Challenge" series is the appropriate venue for me at this time or going forward.
I did miss the post about you guys throwing the mission. That makes sense if you guys didn't want to be seen as competition. It'll take you to the finals since people with assume that one member of the team is "weak". I'm sure it's been done before, but good idea nonetheless.

As another lgbt individual, it was cool seeing you compete on these shows. I hope you decide to give it one more try at least. Maybe if the challenge is actually something more like THE DUEL. I get the impression from the two challenges that I have seen you on, that a more individual challenge would be better since you think so differently from everyone. Plus, with enough preparation, I'm sure you could come back and kick the other girls' *****.
While that's true, it just opens me up to the "oh well of course is going to beat other girls, given her past". And yes, I agree that a Duel format would be more conducive to my circumstances.

And anyone that says you won because of your past are just stupid. If you win challenges, it's because of your own preparation, not because of you past.
Interesting she replaced Katie appearantly.
I remember thinking that being born a male would give her a big advantage against the other girls, but she proved me wrong real quick. lol
I remember thinking that being born a male would give her a big advantage against the other girls, but she proved me wrong real quick. lol
Lol Wes and Kenny thought the same thing, on like the 1st or 2nd ep FM2 when Danny and Mandi were talking about her Wes was like "you guys are ******* underestimating Katelynn, she's the 2nd or 3rd best team here" then Danny goes "Iam sorry what did you say" then Wes repeated it and Danny goes "oh yeah she did great today" lol I think the reason why he thougt that is hilarious, oh she used to have a wang so she must be good :p
