The Challenge: Rivals II - Dunbar & Tyrie

Imagine not even knowing why your rival had it in for you. That's the situation Dunbar walked into when he arrived in Thailand. However, his partner Tyrie has a longer memory when it comes to the Challenge, explaining, "Our relationship goes back to The Island where Dunbar basically got cakewalked to a power position. Seeing him be successful right off the bat without necessarily having to earn anything, it rubbed me the wrong way." Now reunited on Rivals II, Dunbar worries Tyrie might not have what it takes to go the distance. "I hate that Tyrie is my partner. He just doesn't seem to have the skill sets that win Challenges. It's not all about running people over. You gotta climb, you gotta swim, you gotta swing on stuff," he laments. A former Challenge champ, Dunbar has already proven he can win, but will need to keep his temper in check in order to survive socially. Tyrie notes, "We're both very hotheaded. Two hotheaded people usually end in an explosion." Can these two channel their competitive fire? Or is this time bomb doomed to detonate?
Boring & boring-er. Sorry, Tyrie. Nice guy though!
Tyeie's weight loss is very impressive, that shot of him lifting weights in the trailer... hot damn. Congrats! However, Dunbar is just not my cup of tea. The only thing I liked about him was when he said "You're... Trisha." Predicitions: 7th place
Dunbar's hot and Tyrie is cool, but they'll probably be one of the first pairs going home.
There is a lot of strength there but very little dexterity.

Everyone yell if you think this team is making it to the finals *Moment of utter silence throughout the land*
Tyrie's cool. Dunbar's......Dunbar. The fact is, neither of these two have any sort of close ties or too much proven experience in the game. Dunbar has one 1 elimination in his entire Challenge career and was pretty much carried to the final on Cut Throat, and Tyrie hasn't won a single elimination - ever. I can appreciate Tyrie's effort though, continuing to get in shape. I watched the Inferno 3/Gauntlet 3 a couple weeks back and he's done a complete 180. Dunbar's....Dunbar.
Dunbar... He is just Dunbar, that's it. Lol.
Do any of these 2 actually have a highlight reel moment(performance wise)? Even Big Easy has a couple.

I've been trying to find that season to watch.

Probably one of the most forgettable teams...The only thing Dunbar does is get angry and he does that every Challenge so it's just same old, same old... I agree with everyone else about Tyrie! It's nice to see him still coming back. He's a very nice and cool dude and I wish he didn't have Dunbar as his partner...lol
Why do they even bother to recast Tyrie again?
I know Tyrie "sucks" but I cant help but like him. Like someone else said its cool that he seems more in shape each time he comes back, and I know he gets a lot of **** from his fellow cast members about his track record. So I applaud him for still having the balls to come on these things and finally get to perform. Having said that, I think this pair is at an extreme disadvantage. Just judging by the trailer, it seems most of the missions require one partner holding or carrying the other. Tyrie and Dunbar will probably have the hardest time with this, as the weight difference isnt as great as any of the other male teams. I really think, with Tyrie's current build, he'd do great in a two team challenge. Something that we have been sorely lacking for a while.
Tyrie is funny to me he sometimes has great one-liners... Dunbar is just plain and lame... he brings nothing to these challenges
Like a previous post said, together in Challenge history, they have won a total of ONE elimination round, and that was against 2 girls haha. They should actually put Danny from RR Austin on this team just for kicks, and see if these three guys can sum up to be one decent competitor.

Dunbar and Tyrie. I think Tyrie makes for good television because he is so emotional. And Dunbar is anti social so politically, I don't think this duo is very strung. I also don't think they will be that strong in competitions either. besides the fact that they are both huge, I don see anything else they have going for them...
You would think this team would be a powerhouse because they're both so big. But in reality they're the weakest team here... or maybe Robb/Derek
I laughed so hard at this.
I wonder what would happen if Dunbar, Tyrie, and Danny somehow faced off each other in an elimination round. I mean, they can't all lose if they're playing against each other. Either someone will come out victorious...or MTV will cancel the show when it happens...or the universe will implode.

Interview online
Neither one of them even knew they had beef with each other. BMP must have been desperate for a pair to just throw them together.. Kind of a waste in my opinion
lol oh Dunbar, we all feel the same way. I love how he says we are polar opposites then points out skin color lol really? "I'm the palest guy here and he's the.." Dunbar is weird. And way to give Tyrie no credit, he thought Johnny was gona be his partner, did he not see Wes and CT there too? I think they would go with one of them before they go Johnny/Dunbar, and I didnt know Dunbar and Tyrie didnt like each other for 5 yrs, I thought they were friends lol
First off Dunbar says he was sure Johnny is his partner ,than he says he's the palest person in the house,is he ignoring Wes being there or what?
just saw their mtv.com video. thoughts: - what the hell is up with dunbar's eyes? looks like he hasn't slept in a week and a half - tyrie's shoulder veins are peculiar
And they end of worse Rivals than they started with. It doesn't help that Kenny absolutely buried the team in the Rivals 2 Screening Room After Show. Let us close this chapter of Tyrie & Dunbar and never speak of it again.
Lol I feel so bad for Dunbar, Tyrie is probably worse than Danny when it comes to these challenges.
Well Dunbar is why They Lost
Lol I feel so bad for Dunbar, Tyrie is probably worse than Danny when it comes to these challenges.
You should feel bad for Dunbar for being an idiot and missing the bell. And for not being able to jump. He was literally THE reason for both of their loses.
