Like c'mon...even though the club wasn't the best place to talk about it she was just telling Johnny again how she felt because he asked her. Jenn just should've shrugged it off if it REALLY affected her...she's just a maniac so obviously she didn't take it well. Even if CM wasn't passive-aggressive and said what she thought to Jenn's face, Jenn would literally blow up anyway.
Literally?
CM made Jenn's relationship with Adam an issue because IT IS an issue and it's unfair for everyone to be ok that Jenn/Adam are together and for everyone not to to be ok with CT and Laurel TALKING. Obviously. If I was Cara I would bring up the issue a bunch of times to seriously prove a point. It's unfair period for Johnny or whoever else to say that Laurel/CM have to go in second because of that whole issue. Anyone who feels strongly about this would bring it up as many times as they want because they want it to change.
Okay, so why didn't Cara Maria go after Johnny instead of targeting Jenn? JEK, not Jenn, were the ones that made the Laurel-CT thing into a big deal (which I agree was stupid). Once again, I think it's because CM didn't like Jenn to begin with, and the whole Adam thing was just another excuse for CM to criticize Jenn.
It seems to me that Cara Maria gave voice to what everyone in the house, including Adam King, was saying about Jenn and Adam. The scenes is this: CM is quietly sitting away from others at a club that BMP takes them to, and then responding to crew prodding to talk to them. Production sets the agenda, and the crew grabs another cast member to join in. Jenn gets told what is going down and knows that this will be the defining moment that goes into this episode. She immediately goes into Bad Girls Club mode, her pretense at civility out the window because she's a tough girl (character) from the street-tough city of Martinez, CA. [I'm shaking in my boots]
You have enough posts here now to be accountable for how the show is produced.
"Let's be honest, you suggest." Well, no hypothetical in a situation like this has a shred of value. There are only two things that count: what production shows us, and what actually happened. Now that is honest.
So you really think that if CM/Laurel were in Jenn's place and hadn't gone into elimination yet, they would just volunteer themselves for the last Jungle out of "fairness"? I don't see that happening, especially given the way both CM and Laurel fought tooth and nail to avoid the Gulag on Cutthroat. You're right, though...it's just a hypothetical, so I am merely speculating based evidence I've seen in prior episodes.
And I absolutely agree with you that CM's comments could possibly the result of production tampering, and that the producers clearly have an interest in keeping Jenn on the show. But why does that preclude me from commenting about what I see on screen? At the end of the day, I see this show as a soap opera, and I'm under no assumption that this is how any of these cast members act in real life. Part of the fun in watching TV is taking a side and getting caught up in drama, manufactured or not. That's what we're all doing on the message board, no?
I do agree that CM never really liked Jenn but I don't think she said what she said for that reason..CM is a nice, real person so criticizing someone just because she doesn't like them is not something I personally think she would do. thats just shallow
when cara first said "shes not the only one" she was talking to Johnny and Jenn was in the room..jenn could've said something right then and there because she knew how Cara felt. instead she just built up anger..dont think she liked cara from the beginning either.
But basically, Johnny was just ignoring Cara's point and not even taking it into consideration..and then Johnny asked her again in the club about being upset and cara told him the same thing. Noone was really listening to her and I dont think her intention was to attack Jenn..she just wanted to prove a point, but jenn was caught off guard, maybe a little embarrassed and decided to go ballistic. I guess trying to express how you feel and speaking your words is wrong during challenges? .... If Jenn really had a problem with it she could've talked to her like a normal person the first time she heard what Cara was thinking.
I really dont think Cara would "attack" Jenn for the sole purpose of disliking her from the start. She wanted to make a point..tried telling Johnny about it..noone including him listened..Jenn heard about it..Cara tried to tell Jenn how she felt..Jenn got mad..and yeah. this whole thing is just ugh.
On a different note, I do think that CM bringing up the fact that jenn sails to the finals on the bus was a bad move..but she has a valid point since its completely true. I would say the same exact thing and would definitely wanna compete with them in the jungle. Jenn could never accept the truth anyway. She just didn't want to go into the jungle and was scared...how awesome would it be if it were jenn/mandi vs CM/laurel. a totally fair fight..and they could've channeled all their anger in there. haha sorry..I feel like im writing a book but I'm bored so theres nothing really better to do :)
If I were her, I'd have just ignored Jenn when she was in the kitchen talking smack. Jenn lives off of people giving her crap, if you ignore her maybe she'll shut up (for once).
Haha I dont think anyone could ignore someone whose constantly is talking smack...at least I can't. Props to you if you can! but the kitchen scene was the best part. I thought it was funny how CM mocked her..it was so perfect haha

It varies. I'd probably have just thrown Jenn down a flight of stairs honestly. I don't put up with people acting like they're the **** all the time, especially when they have nothing to back it up with.

I'm with you on this. You're arguing for something that some people just cannot see, and I dont understand why. The two of us are not saying Jenn wasnt at fault in this whole thing. Her overreaction was beyond ridiculous. However, we simply want to know why anyone feels bad for CM, when this entire thing was started by her when she realized she would be going into the jungle.
Let me get this straight, CM thinks Jenn always skates to the end of challenges, and because of this she decides this is a legit reason to put her into the jungle. Lol, what? Really?? Does that make any sense to anyone? Then, she goes to the club and starts this all up again, and expects Jenn not to be mad about it. Wow, and people feel bad for CM?

Cara Maria likes Jonna and Jasmine, and dislikes Jenn. Why wouldn't she want Jenn in the Jungle? I would be irritated too because Jenn acts so entitled, even though she's a lackluster competitor. She may be good, but Jenn never actually works to get rid of threats. If she really wanted to win this challenge (I don't know whether she does or not), don't you think she should've worked to get rid of Ev/Paula and Laurel/CM? But no, instead she just skated through to the end with no real effort put into actually setting herself up to win.
I would want Jenn in the Jungle simply because she thinks she's never going to have to face an elimination. So yes, it makes sense to me.
And what did CM start? And do you honestly think Jenn's reaction was normal?
People are acting like CM was being non confrontational and trying to screw Jenn by throwing her into the Jungle when I think it was just the opposite. She basically was saying, "I want to face you in the Jungle. Go up against be and prove yourself." If Jenn really thought she could definitely beat CM and Laurel, she should have gone in instead of "attacking" CM in a club where 10 people are GONNA hold you back. Convenient.

I hate how production allows her to do that. She DID hit CM in the face (however lightly because she was being pulled back). She also hit Mandi on Cutthroat. Why doesn't she get kicked off? Jenn adds nothing to these Challenges. She just takes up space in the finale for the last place team. **** Jenn. Team Cara Maria!

Ahh, I see. Because she's friends with Jonna and Jasmine, she wants to go against Jenn, but isnt she friends with Mandi too? For that matter, I dont think Cara Maria even knew Jonna and Jasmine before doing a challenge, but she gave Mandi her word that she wouldnt send her in. And now suddenly she forgets about all of that because she wants Jenn to go in. That's some personal bull****, but its ok because Jenn always skates through challenges.
CM started the whole drama that went down because she was on some personal ****.
And no, none of my posts say anything about me thinking Jenn's reaction was normal. I actually had the exact opposite take on that.

CM said that because she knows that CT/Adam wouldn't vote for Jenn/Mandi simply because of Adam liking Jenn. She shouldn't have said that Jenn was having sex without knowing (though I don't doubt it, and Jenn's probably just trying to cover it up). Jenn avoided the Jungle because of her relationship with Adam. Otherwise, they would've had the majority to send them in or at least tie it up (Laurel/CM, CT/Adam, Jonna/Jasmine, Leroy/Mike, and possibly Paula/Ev because Ev likes Jonna/Jasmine and CM/Laurel).
Who cares if you promise not to send someone in? Mandi and Jenn do NOT deserve to be there moreso than Jonna/Jasmine. Plus, Mandi and Jenn would probably perform better on a final so wouldn't it be smart to try and get rid of them? Jenn was scared because she knows that Laurel and CM would crush them in the Jungle. So great job Jenn, you got to the final. Now I can't wait to see how great you perform once again (sarcasm).

Here's the series of events:
1. The mob is trying to decide the order.
2. Jenn says she wants to go last.
3. Johnny says that Laurel should be first since she's flirting with the enemy.
4. Cara Maria points out that Jenn is also flirting with CT's team.
5. Cara Maria/Laurel say on the bus that they want to go in against Jenn/Mandi.
6. Mandi yells at Cara Maria.
7. Jenn brings up Cara Maria during deliberation instead of letting her speak on her own.
8. Cara Maria says they don't need to worry about anything.
9. Everyone goes to the club.
10. Johnny goes to talk to Cara Maria since she's alone.
11. Step 3 is repeated.
12. Step 4 is repeated except that Cara points out that Laurel was just talking to CT while Jenn is sleeping in Adam's bed and such.
13. Jenn yells at Cara Maria and tries to physically attack her.
14. CT yells at Cara Maria for no reason.
15. Back at the house, Jenn is bragging about what happened and looking a total *******.
16. Cara civilly addresses the situation.
17. CT once again yells at Cara Maria for no reason.
*At some point around here, Jenn shoves Cara Maria and Wes apparently tells Cara Maria that her horse is dead, which is obviously not true, he was just being a *****
18. Everyone except Evelyn and Kenny put on blue to signify rooting for Jonna/Jasmine.
19. Wes acts like an ***** by making horse sounds and says that Laurel and Cara Maria are bad people.
20. The Jungle happens.

Why did I type this whole thing up? I don't know I've got nothing better to do. Point is if you look here, Cara didn't "start" the drama. She brought up Jenn to show that Laurel wasn't the person in the alliance talking with CT's team. Jenn decided to take it farther by screaming at her, laughing at her, and trying to physically harm her. Jenn is 100% in the wrong here. Even if Cara doesn't like Jenn, everything she said had some truth to it.

Exactly. How anyone could say CM is to blame is beyond me. Cara Maria said that Jenn is sleeping with Adam, just as Laurel is flirting with CT. She's right. Jenn looked like an idiot.

What makes you think that? Jonna and Jasmine have done nothing athletically outside of the first episode. In fact, the previous challenges they've been getting either dead last or second to last.

Haha, personally I loved reading your series of events!! Thanks. And I agree, Jenn is most definitely in the wrong here. CM said Jenn was sleeping/cuddling with Adam, not having sex Jenn just totally overreacted.

Really, how do they seem better at running? Didn't Mandi run in long distance events before she got on FM2? Jenn led the all the finalists to the first checkpoint on the Cutthroat final. Just wondering how they (J/J) seem better?

Why wasn't this whole thing squashed once the deliberation is over. Why is she sulking and sitting by herself at the club. Either don't go or leave that **** at the house when you go out. It's done at this point.
For the last time Jenn has plenty of blame in this situation, but is she not allowed to get mad that someone in her alliance is trying to put her into the jungle? Why can't you admit that CM also was in the wrong in a lot of ways in this situation. I still dont see why anyone feels sorry for her.
Can we at least agree that if CM didnt run her mouth at the club about more things with Jenn that this would not have escalated? It's irrelevant that someone asked her what was wrong, but even so this only happened because she was sulking. In my opinion she has deserves a lot of blame for this situation as well.

Confirming what I wrote in comment #180 two pages ago.
When production takes the cast to a club and they're accompanied by full crew, it's not an optional event. The crew have certain situations the need to create/shoot in order to fill in the story line. CM not wanting to participate didn't mean that production wasn't going to get the best drama they could. For those who still doubt this, a little reading of the cast contract posted at The Village Voice will open one's eyes -- unless one is completely blinded to the obvious.
Cara also hinted that she may be making an appearance on a certain podcast soon that she assumed she was forbidden from. Take that for what it's worth.
Except Cara Maria on Formspring says your predicted series-of-events ain't how it happened.
That isn't what CM was asked or what I said...
The statement on formspring was "so on vevmo someone claims that the crew helps set up the situations, like they'll tell you to get out of the corner of the club and go try and talk to jenn, and then tell jenn they need some drama. true?" That is 1) not what I wrote, or 2) intended to convey.
My point was that she had to go to the club event. That is what CM confirmed.
It wasn't a free night for the cast and night off for crew. It was where producers intended to shoot for their storyline and, if for nothing else, some general B-roll footage. The also did several ITM interviews. While the camera operators, audio people and other support crew don't interact with cast, it is the job of the talent coordinators and APs to interact. The APs know the story line what interviews they need in every situation during the challenges (and every other reality show)
I never suggested that an AP suggested CM talk to Jenn and vice versa. It is a misread of my sentence that begins with "Jenn is told what is going down..." I wasn't implying it was the crew telling Jenn, it was other cast members who had been standing behind the camera crew listening to CM's ITM and her other conversations that she, herself could hear that drew Jenn into confrontation with CM.
When people reading vevmo don't ******* understand, they should ask me to clarify. Idiots! (Of course, I could have been clearer, too, but then people complain that I'm writing a book...)
I think a lot of people misunderstand her crying to be her weakness. I don't think she's a weak girl. In fact, I think CM is a very strong individual.
I would go further and say, Cara Maria is mentally stronger than a lot of other girls, especially Jenn during their fight. To me, CM has a good self-controlled. She chooses her words wisely. Even when she's mad or angry, she still keeps her cool and her class. I think that's harder to do. Everybody can go psycho when they're mad, but not everybody can stay as calm as CM did. I haven't seen her calling people name, haven't seen her threaten to hit anyone. She is right! Action does speak louder than words.
For example like Jenn, all she has is her mouth, and so far, it brings her nothing. She can't control herself when she's angry. She even said she need anger management class.
I think Cara Maria is strong because she is not afraid to speak her mind, even knowing that she will **** off a lot of people who's been with the challenge longer than she has (like tyler, jenn, paula, wes, ct ...), even knowing that, not a lot of people will be there to back her up. She also knows that she has a high chance seeing them again in future challenge, and that they might gun for her, but she's not afraid.
I like this girl, I have a very soft heart for her. For her so easy to cry is because she is sensitive. She is emotional. It is not weakness. I know this might sound silly but science even proves that people with high EQ are more successful in life than IQ.
What makes you think that? Jonna and Jasmine have done nothing athletically outside of the first episode. In fact, the previous challenges they've been getting either dead last or second to last.
