Poor Isaac. For all this time we thought that he was responsible for Sydney getting kicked off Seasons lol.
No no no he said SPORTS competition not just competition theres a difference. What people don't understand with The Challenge is that its a reality tv show and the bases of reality tv is drama which is the entertainment 80% of the time at least for me. If a reality tv show has no drama I don't watch tbh. So yes Trishelle quit but BMP knows that Trishelle brings drama and that is why she gets calls to do the challenge. Same with Eric, even though people hate him there hasn't been a challenge he has done lately that we forgot anything he has done good or bad. So they continue to bring him back. Same thing with Beth and she has quit twice but no one complains and says how much they don't want her back. And look at how much money they compete for. Chunk change.
I agree. This is Reality show first and foremost. Always have been and always will be. Drama and conflict is going to be the order of the day. Everything else comes second. Oh and what you said about the money they compete for..I agree with you so much. The money they fight for isn't all that much so its not like they're missing out on a lot of money when they quit. That's why I don't get why this show is so extreme now. it seems like they do all this army/crossfit BS for peanuts. I can see if it was 1 million dollars or half of a million but 125K? Please. It doesn't seem like it's worth it. I really think BMP/MTV need to beef up the prize money.
People who quit for stupid reasons annoy me. Like Eric quitting on BOTS2 as it was portrayed just made him look like an ******* for no reason (whether it was for Devyn or not). Trishelle quitting made her just look like an idiot. Cameran and Jisela were a waste of space and it's good to get them gone quick, but when it's obvious you went on the show with the intention of staying for a week and making a quick payday, it seems like a waste to me. But not all quitting is bad. There are legit reasons to quit. But most of the time it's over petty bull**** it seems
I'm glad Eric quit. Him giving up meant that he and Camilla were gone and for the first time in ages the challenge was going to be dictated by people that were actually on The Real World. And I agree that Cameron was a Waste but Jisela? No.
And I agree that Cameron was a Waste but Jisela? No.
I really like Jisela... but what did she do on the Gauntlet 2? She actually did absolutely nothing besides throw an elimination round to Ruthie. She even only had 2 interviews in the 5 episodes she was there. Adam was there for 2 episodes and had 11 interviews.
I hate Big Eazy because he will wipe the floor off anyone in a physical competition, even if the person he is against is a strong competitor just due to his size. I can only see a few people actually being able to beat Big Eazy in Hall Brawl, Oppenheimer, and Looper. There was a reason why people were scared to go against Big Eazy in the Gauntlet, in a physical elimination, he has the advantage 90% of the time.
I didn't watch the ChallengeMania special, but did Johanna say something that could insinuate her possibly returning?
I didn't watch the ChallengeMania special, but did Johanna say something that could insinuate her possibly returning?
She said something like "keep watching - you never know who might pop up! ;)" or something like that. I'm not sure if it actually means anything. Johanna's been consistently declining Challenges for a while.
I didn't watch the ChallengeMania special, but did Johanna say something that could insinuate her possibly returning?
Yes but... Johanna Botta ‏@Johannabotta @MTVChallengeLuv no I won't ever do another one but I will happily watch and host all the specials!

Chunk change.
It doesn't matter if it's a reality TV show, at the end of the day it's still a competition to win money. Just like Survivor or Fear Factor. There is no integrity in quitting unless it's for a legit reason like a serious injury or the death of loved one. However, quitting because you made yourself look like a moron on national television at your own expense and because you got schooled by Aneesa? Quitting because you didn't have a strong enough mindset to keep competing even though you're partner was begging for you to compete and help her? Quitting because...wait what did Shauvon even quit for? She's so irrelevant that I forgot what the whole purpose was for her quitting on Cutthroat. And no one gave Abram any **** was because the Island was literally a vile plae to be living in, literally and figuritively speaking. And when Beth quit I did lose respect for her. I'm not sure why some fans treat Beth different. Bottom line is that even though it's a reality show, this type of show is successful for its 2 forms of entertainment: house drama and the competitiveness of the missions, eliminations and finals that they do. That's why they have a big fan base. If you want just house drama stick to the Real World.
And no one gave Abram any **** was because the Island was literally a vile plae to be living in, literally and figuritively speaking.
And this is what Trishelle thought about the living conditions of Rivals 2. Production was overly strict and did not care for the cast on Rivals 2 as they did on past seasons. She did not quit because of the incident with Aneesa (perhaps it played a part, however) - it was the conditions of production that caused her to quit, as she has explained several times over Twitter.
I don't see what's so bad about quitting. I mean if they're not feeling it for whatever reason why Stay and torture themselves? it's not really worth it IMO. Just go home.

You can try and justify her quitting all you want but a family member wasn't sick so IMO she's just a quitter hell I'd take Jemmye over trashelle because she at least isn't a quitter.
IMO quitting is pretty terrible when you are playing the game with a pair and basically screwing someone else out of the money like Easy and Trishelle did. If you are not feeling it anymore, that's fine, but why take your partner down with you?
I was wondering this too, Laurel's recent cryptic tweets about love could go either way. But it seems like Jordan deleted his twitter?
Jordanw_usa now
Why is everybody (or well... Jordan and Theresa) changing their twitter handles? DOn't they need to say MTV in them?
Usually went people remove the MTV they are basically saying F*** You to MTV , but Jordan and Theresa are both thirsty so I can't see them being done.
Who cares if Johanna returns or not... All she ever did was try to sleep to the end, whether it was with Kenny or with Wes lol.
I guess it is kind of the way I grew up. Whether it was high school sports or a game of beer pong I was super ompetitive, and I just don't believe in quitting at anything in life. I don't like when people take the easy way out. Push yourself and do things to your best or don't do it all. With these people who quit on the challenges they are just taking up a spot of someone who wants to be there but doesn't have as much drama as the quitter. but what good is the drama if the person quits on the second episode.... Just my opinion on the matter
I wish people would stop acting like the challenges are the Olympic games. You guys want normal and regular people then get mad when they aren't the best competitors. Most of the people they cast on this show are for drama, as opposed to competition. BMP knows that usually cast members that aren't athletic will get in drama due to their performance. If everyone performed on the level of Emily, Rachel & Evelyn the show would be boring.
I want a team challenge with a nice mix of old school and new school people, but with random teams, no theme. I would say kinda like a Cutthroat, but not the with the picking, because old school will probably pick old school people and same with new school. I want people from different eras on the same team to see the dynamics.

Most competition reality shows now a days need a theme to base casting off but also draws in viewers to help the show get good ratings.
I played football and ran track, I am as competitive as it gets. But that's only during the activity, during the actual game/meet and at practice. I don't see myself getting pissed at my partner if they quit like Trishelle did, I see myself getting pissed at my partner if they quit DURING a daily mission or a final.
I know it won't do that good in ratings as the people now seems to only undersand Rivals and Exes, but it would be good television.
Which is unfortunate.
They would understand other things similar to Rivals & Exes too. BMP just hasn't come up with anything else yet.
POLL: Hardest/easiest final challenge? Hardest: I think i'll give it to Battle of the Exes, because distance wise, I feel like it the longest. The cold didn't help either. Easiest: The islands. Everything about that challenge was a joke, lbr. If there were obstacles waiting for them at the island, it would have had potential.
They would understand other things similar to Rivals & Exes too. BMP just hasn't come up with anything else yet.
…and that is why this show is dying …...
I would love too see another final like Battle of the Seasons (2012), just executed wayyyyyy better! It needs to be harder and they need to ditch the helicopters.
I was thinking about if I were ever on a Challenge and they wanted to make me sky dive... I'm sorry, y'all would vilify me so much. I don't think I could ever do it. I'd turn into Casey. Jumping out of a plane? You're out of your mind.
