Episode 1 TJ: For our 40th season we brought 40 of you here to compete. But today 10 of you are being purged. (close up on a depressed Nicole Ramos)
Or they can go extreme and bring in 40 cast mates and 20 of them go home episode one.
Or do 80 cast mates. Have 40 1 vs. 1 single elimination match ups. (You must win an elimination to qualify for the top 40)... then the top 40 are purged down to the top 30 (15 of each ***) then the real game begins.
We had 36 on Sexes & Sexes 2 which worked just fine
Back when we had competent editors.
True but 40 can work if the editing is better. Those were 30 minute episodes. We can easily handle 40 people with 16 hour-long episodes if they just drop the TBC nonsense.
Funny having 40 castmembers is being talked about because I remember reading that the original Battle of the Seasons was supposed to have that exact amount of people but they couldn't get anyone from RW San Franciso and Hawaii And from Road Rules 1 and Islands.

i dont remember like half the people on both Battle of the Sexes so it's for the better
I just watched the Free Agents premiere and it's STILL lit. Never gets old. The house party, the mission with two teams of 14, the first draw moment and the female elimination round in this episode were A1 >>>>>>>>
The only thing I wish they could have done was make the players double cross someone (like on Dirty 30) and choose whoever they wanted to compete in the elimination instead of pulling the random kill card. The season would've been more epic with that consistent format. That's what I loved about Free Agents. The format was consisent and didn't have these stupid twists happening in every episode. The purges really need to go.

I'm guessing the only possibilities for those teams would have been Puck/Jo, Colin/Ruthie or Amaya, Mark/??? (no chance) & Jake/Kalle

I'm sorry but the format didn't work at all because they made it too complicaed. It should have either been you're safe or you're in the draw. Everyone should have been able to be selected that didn't win and if you didn't win you should have been in the draw if you weren't selected.

I agree with you on this but other than that, the format wasn’t really that complicated to me like Bloodlines when they kept changing rules almost every episode. I feel like Free Agents and Exes 2 were the last solid seasons with a consistent format.
If the make it to Season 40. They better be 40 cast members.
If they send 2 people home (1 man and 1 woman) per episode, it'll take 16 episodes to get down to 8, which could be the final. Throw in an opening Purge (a mini final, with endurance, puzzle, and eating) to eliminate the slowest man and woman, and a Purge halfway through (again something like a mini final), and that's 14 episodes to get down to 8. Have the final be 1 episode, the reunion be 1 episode, and a Shit They Should've Shown - and you have a 17 episode season jam-packed with action. Still 5 episodes shorter than Final Reckoning. TOTALLY DOABLE.
Could make it originals (Real World/Road Rules) vs first expansions (Fresh Meat/Are You the One/Bloodlines) vs second expansions (UK castmembers/Big Brother) vs future expansions (Survivor/Bad Girls Club/EotBUS/etc)

Anyone have a link for watching old seasons? Was having a binge the other day up to duel and the site I was on didn’t have inferno 3, the island or duel 2. Hook a gal up plz
Nicole Z is a firefighter in New York.
They need to cast some ginger men and women. Tired of see blondes and brunettes.
Speaking of which. I would love to see King Robb return <3.
Someone needs to make a gif of him ripping his shirt off
**** yes!
If the make it to Season 40. They better be 40 cast members.
Oh god please no.
They'd just sent half of them home first episode anyways lol.

30 people is enough as it is. And I hate these dumb *** purges now that they've made them so excessive and pointless. Whew chile...

so we get 52 episodes? nah

When does season 33 air?
The first date that is probably open is February 6. I would say February at the earliest.
okay--we're on the same page then
Not Challenge Related.
MTV should have a show kinda like I Love Money so they can focus on the drama on that show and have competition drama on the Challenge.
