Yeah so. Best premiere i've seen.
That first challenge was so intense and creative. It wasn't above water and it was so fun to watch.
Jessica won the stand out moment for me in that.
I felt so bad for Latoya. She was picked last, almost med evaced, voted in by her friends, and then beat someone bigger than her. (Yes people keep saying Jemmye isn't great but Latoya held her own against someone bigger than her and won)
I love rookies so much < 3. This premiere was flawless. I don't see any reason to complain about anything. It was so refreshing.. new drama, new format, new everything. The camera time wasn't all on one person. I loved it all.
I'm also suprised no one mentioned the order of the draw. I wish they all just went up and pulled up a card at the same time. I know when my favorite gets "randomly selected" because TJ called them last and they auto got sent in and never got to choose their own card i'm going to yell "RIGGED" lol.
People need to learn her name--Jonna...not Joanna
You get rid of people so you have easier battles later...
Johnny's 100% right
Auto spell check on my phone and I didn't pay attention. My bad
That's a understatement. It's 50/50 which is why everyone was concerned. The game is designed so that no one feels safe.
Which means you send in the strongest...even those with only a GED should be able to figure this out
So... how much was Isaac shown?
I think Isaac is useless but he's in much better shape than on the Duel 2 so hopefully he surprises but he shouldn't be anywhere near a puzzle
Yes but johnny disagreeing with the norm here and implying they should go for a power player, is the same thing but he just doens't have the guts to say it out loud. It may be smart for him to not say it to avoid criticism, but it's the same thing. By disagreeing he didn't have to verbally disagree in front of everyone he coudl have just agreed wiht them while inside disagreed. ...what's the difference? he could have kept it to himself but he chose to make a scene out of it that a better player shoudl be thrown in, that's basically what ct did minus the specific name.
He didn't make a scene. He didn't want to throw out a name because everyone else was afraid to go after a big dog and then Jordan called him an ******* for not wanting to vote...which was the smart move as someone would've then gone to Zach or Frank or whoever and said "Bananas wanted to go after you"...then he's in the exact same situation CT was in on Rivals when Johnny and Frank found out that he tried to pull something, except on this show he doesn't have the protection he did on previous seasons. Johnny isn't afraid to speak his mind...it just made 0 strategic sense for him to do so here.
That's not personal. Saying you would beat someone in an elimination??? No. Not personal at all. And definitely didn't deserve Jemmye "defending" Camila. C'mon that was weak.
That is pretty personal to me.
I would have voted Zach and LaToya.
I'd target strong guys (as a guy) and weak women...LaToya should have been seen as weak based on the first challenge
Which means you send in the strongest...even those with only a GED should be able to figure this out
Not exactly. Say for instance that Johnny sends in all of the strong competitors and he's left with a bunch of weak players. They could all decide they want to send him in and depending on the task at hand he could lose and be sent home. A bunch of weak players aren't going to sit there like fools. They sit and wait and then they'll attack when you're most vulnerable.

Then he only has to beat weak competitors. That's exactly what he should want.

I would've gone for Frank. Better in a final and a more versatile athlete (he's easily got endurance, swimming, climbing, agility on Zach). Plus he's unstable and may panic before going in and then **** up. Also probably easier to justify based on what an *** he's been...not that it's really necessary but still.

I'd rather face Frank than Zach in an elimination round though.

Yes so Johnny was saying he wanted a big dog, sound familiar? ok if you want to say it's different but it's the same concept, btu these people weren't smart enough to put 2 and 2 together and gossip to others about johnny's plan where as on rivals 2 they did. By arguing which he did in front of them all, he is basically saying no don't send a weak guy, send a strong guy. the strong guys on the other team were techincally being called out by johnny that that's the strategy he figured out for this. Is it smart most definitely, but he is trying to throw in a big guy right away. So it's hard for me to understand his and his buddies(kenny) complaining on his behalf that people like ct are shady for trying to get rid of him when they are supposedly friends. It's a game, i think they both understand that by now.
I was team Johnny in that argument. It's best to vote in strong players and hope they get taken out instead of wasting your time on the typical "get out the rookies" card. I feel like that should only be used on team challenges, but when you're playing to beat out everyone of your gender I would never vote in someone weak unless i'm the only one who is willing to make the move.

Going up against Zach or CT in an elimination VS going up against Preston or Chet in an elimination...hmmm.....such a hard choice...
If you are not going in, it makes perfect sense to at lest attempt to get the strongest person out on the other teams, because if it truly is 'individual" it will only help you later.
Then he only has to beat weak competitors. That's exactly what he should want.
I personally feel that weak players and strong players have their advantages and disadvantages which is why I wouldn't dump off all the weak players first.

Yup, Preston can sure be an unexpected threat.....

Alright that's it, those are fighting words. Earring's are off, break out the Vaseline. It's time to throwdown. :) But seriously, I don't really care about the competition. If he just looked cute and smiled into the camera for an entire episode it would be my favorite of the season... maybe even the series.

What are you talking about...Johnny wanted to keep the weak players as would any sane person
You're almost overthinking this...Johnny was right
Going up against Zach or CT in an elimination VS going up against Preston or Chet in an elimination...hmmm.....such a hard choice...
It's common sense to get off CT and possibly Zach first but after that I would keep focusing on strong competitors. I would even out the playing field to help out my game for later.
Yup, Preston can sure be an unexpected threat.....
You sure are fixated on Preston. He's all over your posts. :smiley_simmons:

And, as a straight dude, him being cute is irrelevant to me. He's kind of stupid. I did give him credit for being in better shape
Yup, Preston can sure be an unexpected threat.....
Preston isn't included in my discussion. There are weak players, strong players, and then there is Preston.

Ok...but there were four strong male competitors on that team. Dustin, Leroy, Frank, and Zach. Saying "Johnny was after a strong competitor" doesn't mean anything...had he put a name to it it would've been completely different. I'm not really sure what you're arguing here. Johnny being upset that CT came at him on Rivals II? He more called CT out on his stupidity rather than being butthurt that it was him. Johnny said it was dumb for CT to make that move and be blatant about it, since it wasn't going to work out, just like it would've been pointless here to make himself the face of the "Throw in Zach/Frank/whoever" campaign. There's zero hypocrisy here on his part.
Preston isn't included in my discussion. There are weak players, strong players, and then there is Preston.
lol okay then let's say Swift or Isaac. I would feel confident going up against either of these 2 in an elimination. Swift is pretty small and Isaac's biggest strength is his humor and frohawk.

Johnny's not stupid. He knows Jordan is stupid. He couldn't say a name without him being a target so he tried to use logic. Jordan & Co just are idiots. As we saw for a fact with Jordan in the preview
