The challenges: - Pretty much the challenges are now the olympics, so you need to train harder than before. -If you dont train now, then you are not going to have a shot on winning this challenges. - The challenges used to be about reality drama and not much about competition, really different now. - It was more easy to win a final and challenges before than now. CT vs bananas: - The puzzle was a shock, he said that CT is really strong when it comes to puzzles, and that he still doesnt know how he finished that. - He said that he respects CT,is not about friendship but more about respct. - They have different ways to play the game, and that's why they tried to take each other out everytime. - Since he and CT are the last two vets standing, bananas said that is better go for the new kids, and then he and CT will go for each other until the end. - He said that they have done a lot for the show in terms of viewership, fans etc, so the show needs both of them, and is better to at least have one of them on the final to increase the viewership. - He said that CT has calmed down, and both of them have grown up. Leroy: Everyone likes leroy, but he needs to step up on his political game. Johnny r: The guy is really humble and he respect the way he play the game, def one to look forward on the future. Nany: she has great chances on winning a challenge. Jordan: the guy is really cocky, bananas didnt want to go agaisnt him on the wall elimination, he wanted something physical. He basically confirmed he is going to be on the next challenge and probably going to have a target on his back.
Thanks !!
I would say Bananas is more athletic than anyone that plays professional golf, softball or tennis. You know that video games is now considered a sport right? Competing professionally that is.
Really? I mean I know people played video games professionally but I didn't know it's realized as a sport.
I agreed with Bananas when he said that he would be more interested in seeing Emily D.C. vs Laurel than Zach vs CT at this point. I actually don't even care if they face each other in an elimination round, they could even be on the same season and be on a team together. I just want them to be on the same challenge post Crossfit, and see their dynamic. And I laugh every time Jacoby calls him Jonathan Bananas.
I would say Bananas is more athletic than anyone that plays professional golf, softball or tennis. You know that video games is now considered a sport right? Competing professionally that is.
You're underestimating tennis players for sure
Yeah, tennis players are very athletic. Lots of very athletic softball players, too. And who knows when it comes to golfers? It certainly doesn't require athleticism to be good at it, but surely there are athletic guys who play professional golf as well. Cooke is basically just good enough to be the worst player on a professional soccer team, and she is easily one of the best female Challenge contestants I've seen. Zach intimidates everyone, and he played Division II college football. Don't get me wrong. These days, anyone who regularly competes in finals is a great athlete, but that's in the context of people who go to the gym and have regular jobs, not professional athletes. Of course, Simmons and Jacoby are using that hyperbole intentionally to kind of make fun of their own obsession with these shows. And it's clear that Jacoby reads VEVMO since he used Molds's list for a column last year. HI JACOBY! I like your columns every Friday. Bananas impressed me in that he made a fair comparison of himself and CT to the US and Soviet Union during the Cold War. I have no idea how a guy who thinks Australians speak Dutch could do that. Also, he had a good recall of the Will Ferrell/James Carville scene from Old School. He also said Leroy had a terrible diet (too much junk food) and said he never fools around with girls on Challenges these days. He said that a lot of people come into Challenges with their lives in chaos, in terms of relationship, financial situation, housing, etc. Not as good as the Frank or Wes podcasts, but if you have 45 minutes to kill, especially during a workout, it's not a bad use of time.
You're underestimating tennis players for sure
Especially since Landon was one
Bananas impressed me in that he made a fair comparison of himself and CT to the US and Soviet Union during the Cold War. I have no idea how a guy who thinks Australians speak Dutch could do that.
I think Johnny is sneaky smart. Perhaps not for humanity, but definitely among the challenge cast. At this point he's one of the few with a college degree and even though the Dutch thing was horrible, it was far from the dumbest answer ("the Northern Continent", 12 stripes on the American flag, Mahatma Gandhi). I remember on one of Derrick's podcasts, maybe the first one he ever did, he likened the way that the Red Team on Cutthroat was hyping themselves up to Goebbels' role in pushing propaganda in **** Germany. Again, I'm sure in a room full of people he isn't the brightest bulb on the tree (in the same podcast he thought a rickshaw was called a "scrimshaw"), but in comparison to some of these others? The man's a genius.
Multiple cast memebers have said Johnny is very intelligent and everytime I hear a podcast/interview of his he always sounds very smart. I love that he said he never got more support from people on social media than he did when he sent Jordan home. #TeamBananas Another Interview http://robhasawebsite.com/the-challenge-free-agents-2014-talking-with-the-winner-johnny-bananas/#.U7Wk1B1QGrM.twitter
Haha, I think what you're saying is on point. Beyond the people who could be considered intelligent without any real discussion (Frank, Wes, Evelyn, Mike Mike, Adam King, and Evan), I think people like Bananas are in the next tier. However, I think there are actually a lot of college graduates on the Challenges, which shows just how meaningless the term "college graduate" is these days.
You're underestimating tennis players for sure
You're underestimating what it takes to carry a 150lb whale on your back, then cycling 25 miles in 61 minutes (probably with some resistance added) and then climbing a mountain after 4 hours of sleep.
I love that the Challenges are becoming more athletically oriented. I would much rather watch Leroy climb a rope attached to a helicopter than watch Coral run around in a chicken suit eating bugs.

Talking With The Winner, Johnny Bananas
he said that Rivals-final was harder then FA-final. a really good interview
Yeah, Cara Maria graduated from college with a 3.9 and she can't seem to remember what a continent is lol.
Those answers were pathetic, c'mon the Northern Continent. A 10 year old could have answer those questions.

I wish the challengers were more like they were in the past. Nowadays It just seems too unnecessarily Extreme and over the top IMO. I mean why are they climbing up mountains, Kyacking, and Riding on Dog Sleds? These people are not Olympic athletes nor are they Military/Navy Seals. These are regular people from another Reality Television show, no need to put them through the red ringer of death? It's pointless to me.

You hate seeing veterans when every single challenge has had them and is basically a requirement, you claim newbies don't get a chance when there's at least 4 new rookies every season, you want stupid challenges where you spin around until you throw up instead of beasting a mountain, and you're the type of guy that would rather see a Nate and Priscilla pair than a Darrell and Rachel pair just because Nate and P are "rookies".

There are veterans of this show that I like. I just don't like seeing the SAME ONES every ******* season. 2. You do have a point though Rookies do get a shot and you know what? I'm **** glad for that. I was happy as **** that Johnny(Portland) and Devyn made it to the end. And on another note I'm glad as **** that a new generation is coming on and taking these challenges by storm 3.And so what if I like the simpler missions? I don't have to like this crossfit/Army BS missions that they've been doing and I don't have to like these over the top, rediculous final challenges they've been doing for a while now. Back in the day some of the missions required Endurance some required using your head. Some where just whimsical and some were just plain awesome. Some were just plain fun and cool to watch. The one from the Gauntlet where they were all in Jets flying, The Inner tube tango from The Original Battle of the Seasons. The Ice Melting missions from Battle of the Sexes 2..All were fun to watch and whimiscal. I'm sorry but there's no entertainment from watching something like Bottleneck Stampede or whatever stupid heights/water mission. 3.So ******* what If I want to see Nate/Priscilla instead of Darrell/Rachel? We've already seen what those 2 can do on this show. What else are they going to add? Whereas with Nate/Priscilla there's still unknown and there's potential there. I want to see what they can bring instead of seeing two people who basically have nothing left to give this franchise. If anything YOU are the worst challenge fan. Because you think that everyone should like the vets and worship them(especially that idiot Johnny backpack) and you treat these shows like some extreme sports competition. THIS IS A REALITY SHOW FIRST AND FOReMOST and you(and others) don't seem to get that. One more thing. If you want a legitimate sports competition go watch a sports competition. And I Love Money is not even on the air anymore.
I think it's funny as **** you think that I'm the worst challenge fan because I don't want to see the same tired old *** veterans on every challenge, prefer to see newer castmembers, And want less extreme missions and final. I don't have to like what everyone else likes regarding this show.
Bottleneck stampede was great much better then the stupid ice melting mission
No it wasn't IMO. To me it just was not fun see everyone trying to run over everyone else. I'm surprised nobody got seriously hurt doing that challenge. Whears That Ice Melting one..Yeah seeing all those guys in their speedos rubbing on Ice not only was fun. But Hot as well(IMO). And we even got a funny moment from that. Shane saying "Everyone of my fantasies fulfilled yeah!" was hilarious.
No it wasn't IMO. To me it just was not fun see everyone trying to run over everyone else. I'm surprised nobody got seriously hurt doing that challenge.
This is called the challenge, the missions supposed the be intense and hard not silly and lame.
This is called the challenge, the missions supposed the be intense and hard not silly and lame.
So what? They can be intense and require skill without having to hurt and kill yourself to complete them. I don't care what it's called. It's not the Olympics. And if the missions were "supposed" to be hard. Why weren't they from the get go?
So what? They can be intense and require skill without having to hurt and kill yourself to complete them. I don't care what it's called.
So you want to just get rid of any mission that has physical contact?
So what? They can be intense and require skill without having to hurt and kill yourself to complete them. I don't care what it's called. It's not the Olympics. And if the missions were "supposed" to be hard. Why weren't they from the get go?
Some old school ones were hard but a lot weren't and were super lame. I'm not saying all omissions now are good but they have made them much better and harder now.
So you want to just get rid of any mission that has physical contact?
No. Physical contact is fine. But I would want it more on the lines of Wrestling each other in oil than Everyone just wildly running over each other.
No. Physical contact is fine. But I would want it more on the lines of Wrestling each other in oil than Everyone just wildly running over each other.
Oil change was good, I loved the idea but hated the way half the people threw it
Oil change was good, I loved the idea but hated the way half the people threw it
Yeah I agree. I wish they would've rethought that challenge and made it so nobody could just throw it.
So you want to just get rid of any mission that has physical contact?
I don't think that's what DA means. There should be a balance. For every physical mission, there should be something fun and silly. The show shouldn't cater only to those who spend 51,976,438 hours in the gym. The show should be innovative and unorthodox, while still challenging.
Yeah I agree. I wish they would've rethought that challenge and made it so nobody could just throw it.
Tbh unless they gave a penalty in the next mission like for rivals 2 I don't think there was a way around it
