The Challenge: Battle of the Exes - Paula Meronek

I don't like the edited version of Paula, she is annoying. And she needs to RETIRE already from these shows, after almost 9 consecutive challenges it's enough. But I have to give her credit that she is a decent competitor, she is not a person a lot of the cast members want to go against in a final because she is good at them.

I think she is great for t.v. She always ends up doing something socially that is interesting. She is great with sound bites.Like the best. This is probably why they ask her back a lot, she probably makes the production process way easier. She is also good at the mini challenges. She is one of the better women to play the game ( 4 finals)
She missed the Ruins, so its not consecutive.
That is why kat_17 used the world "almost" before "9 consecutive challenges".
Did not catch that, my bad.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Aneesa have a pretty ****ed up knee when she went into that final Inferno against Paula? I'm not trying to discredit Paula or anything, a win's a win, but it doesn't say much about her being strong or anything if her opponent was obviously injured. Lol.
Yeah, she was. And if I remember correctly that elemination was climbing to the wall or something like that. I agree that she is really good for TV. But she is so damn annoying! Her jokes are same in every season. In the Gauntlet 3 she hooked-up with Derek, next season she hooked-up with Dunbar. Then there was Big Mike and now we saw new love story with TY. Seriuosly? Oh, and of course, after Island she always keep remember us how horrible Johnny Bananas and Kenny done her at Island. Same story line with Dunbar (Island, Duel 2, CutThroat and Exes). It's like we see same people on those shows but they are growing up. Abram, Kenny, Derrick, CT, Diem they all change a lot. They was so diffrent back in few years and Paula is same girl from the Key West. That's why I can't stand her. There are some people wich you love to hate, like Wes or Beth and there are some who are really just annoying.
I'm a fan of Paula's. She is entertaining, which is the name of the show. And she is competetive. Not a fan of the cheating, which they certainly followed (entertainment). Hooking up is one thing, especially when you are young, (wish I was) but she lost points with me over the cheating. She looks to be in good shape, especially on the vid of her getting out of Ty bunk bed, and they did want her out of the final where her running ability made her dangerous. It looks like that she could continue for years if she stays in shape.
I just rewatched Inferno 3 & it is almost shocking how likeable Paula was on that challenge. Granted, she was on a team with susie, but still, she came off so down to earth as well as a being a great competitor & even... pretty. What a turn for the worse.

Cuz Paula seems like the person who say yes no matter when production asked her.

I bet she actually had something going on though. I'm surprised neither her or Jenn were on that season.
I love Paula on these shows because of her commentary. I think she is hilarious. I feel like after the island she was much more paranoid and had such a desire to win just because she genuinely thought she was going to win the island. It then led to this notion that she has to have the guys to win. One conclusion I've came to over the years about Paula is she is great at finals but she lacks the mental part of the game.

Just finished watching her real world season never understood her hype but after watching this! I finally get it. The last episode where she says that her roomates saved her life got me in my feelings and her writing letters for each of them. She was the star from beginning to end that season.

What an amazing story arc and Real World cast member. I am so she seems to be in an amazing place in her life family wise, health wise and career wise.

Absolute legend. Deserves the world. Laurel ate her words and I love to see it ❤️

I love seeing her turn things around for herself, I felt bad how the challenge seemed to affect her mental health.

Same. Never liked her, but can not deny how much she progressed and she is one of the couple people I can honestly say that the Real World actually saved and I love that for her. You can tell that even despite how she acted on the Challenge, she was making up for lost time because of how life put her through the ringer

I can't honestly think of one person from the Challenge era that I didn't like, but wanted to see as a champion more than Paula.

One of the very few who bowed out from the challenge when they were on top and actually meant it.

Her and Svetlana's friendship on Key West is so monumental.

Paula is the perfect example to me of knowing when to walk away. So many of these people have allowed the Challenge to become their whole existance and it has caused damage to their personal lives and mental health.

Paula went from being one of the most loved and rootable RW castmembers to a paranoid, anxious, follower of a Challenger who was more and more grating to watch. She fit the narrator role perfectly, but she unfortunately lost herself a bit in the popular crowd and loved to play the victim.

That being said, she took advantage of the two Challenge wins that were basically handed to her from production and went out on top. As she said in an interview - "no one wants to be the last person at the party". Happy for her and to see her doing well.

Should've retired after rivals 1!

Why?   She finished 5th (I think) on Exes and Won Rivals 2

Probably would've made the final on Exes if CT & Diem sent in John & Camila against Ty & Emily. Still one of the dumbest moves to me.

Yupp--classic Diem overthinking things

On exes she locked Emily as a partner for rivals 2

You said this perfectly <3

I love Paula, and her overall  arc was one of the best

I couldnd't agree more, so happy for her. She deserves it. At the time I didn't understand what her life was like during Key West and now as an adult, I realized I misunderstood her. A lot of things make sense.

Heck, I rewatched Ruins recently and I can confidently tell you I saw a lot of things in such a different light. No way am I a Veronica stan anymore after rewatching The Ruins. The way she treated Tonya was just unacceptable and back then I thought it was funny. Ultimately I blame production for even taking the risk of putting Tonya under that pressure cooker but I def do not agree with a lot of the things that went down. It was very painful to watch Tonya during the Ruins.

Not sure how this become about V but she (along with Derrick) basically took care of her for weeks before Tonya decided to attack. V was completely justified on her actions. We don't see half of what Tonya said.

I'm not saying she's a saint or even a good person but she wasn't the problem in that scenario. She was a horrible person to Tonya in the past and a few weeks on taking care of her doesn't change the past but everyone has a breaking point. Everyone. And V will go for the death blow if you push her. I'm okay with that.

I mean honestly I didn't see the Ruins/V thing as that deep. I think Tonya was completely wasted and then V was just not taking the situation seriously all once she started screaming about her liking **** or ****** lmao I mean even Tonya started to laugh a little bit. V definitely has faults but I would struggle to take that moment seriously too
