Is C.T. kissing Diem's head in the promo?
kissing something lol that was kind of wierd and unexpected when I saw that loll
Those commercial breaks looked beastly as I was whizzing by them on fast forward. 3+ minutes at a time, yeesh. Glad I watched my recording of American Idol while the Challenge was going. What's up with the Aftershows though... Are they online only now? I never have any recorded. This episode was all kinds of funny but the best was Camila walking around mumbling about talking to a wall. Seems like this season the producers have gone to lengths to devote different episodes to different teams; I feel like I've seen a bit of just about everyone but Dunbar already. That's a good thing as it keeps things fresh from week to week. Kinda sad that they were tapped for elimination round ideas after 4(?) events and now they're recycling. Ty had the right idea in laying on the bar; unless your opponent massively outweights you and can flip you over or lay on top of you to slowly suffocate you, you've pretty much won at that point as you can conserve energy while the other guy has to work to turn you around. I feel bad for Abram because of the position he's in but I honestly feel like CM is confused and doesn't know what she wants from one minute to the next (she did say that). I don't think there's any malicious intent in what she's doing. Camila would do well to listen to what she's saying in her confessionals ("I like Johnny a lot more than he likes me") and remember it's pretty much all just a game to him, and he plays to win. She's kinda coming off the same way Naomi did. Rachel & Aneesa feel like a fodder team now because they don't have any hope to win a final and they probably won't ever win power couple. CT & Diem looked a lot weaker than they should have on this Challenge (Couldn't he have just given her a piggyback across the entire set? Oh wait, Wes showed us what happens when a guy tries to prove he's Hercules, lol) but I still think they would do well in the final. Still Johnny's game to lose though, given Camila is better than Robin.
Mark always does right by the power players and they do the same for him. He will never throw Johnny or CT under the bus unless he has to. Those three look like they are clearly the top of the poeking order of their alliance. They will do whatver it takes to get at least two of the three teams in the finals. Johnny wont be touched unless Anessa/Rachel win or Emily/Ty win and even then Johnny can work some political magic to buy his way out of that.
Tyrie did an interview after he got eliminated last week and he said Johnny and Camila, Mark and Robin, and Dunbar and Paula were the main alliance with everyone else going against them.

I really enjoyed that episode, mainly due to Camila's drunken rampage (I know you shouldn't root for a breakdown, but god help me it makes great tv.). Though it does beg a question, at what point do the producers step in (not including fighting), as Camila drunkenly walked into a pool. That to me has to be considered one of the most dangerous things a drunken person to do. Having Paula jump in after her didn't fill me with much hope either, even though it was a hilarious sight seeing her strip down and jump in when everything had calmed down. I'm a far bigger fan of the silly challenges, but if they are gonna do 'serious' challenges then the one this week was perfect. It wasn't pointlessly dangerous, it involved teamwork with your partner and also seemed like one you would want to try yourself. Same with the elimination, if you're gonna be sent home then something like the one they had will show how much they are willing to fight for it. Lastly, I only saw a couple episodes of Real World D.C and what i saw Ty came off as not a nice guy (I would be more harsh, but i'm sure swearing is banned here.). Cutthroat he just seemed weird, but i've really liked him on this challenge. In this episode especially he just seemed pretty awesome and a cool guy to hang out with. It could be that he is usually in a scene with Emily, who comes off as the nicest person in the world and it rubs off on him. Either way, I'm now fully in on Ty as one of my favourites in the house. There is actually one last thing, which i wasn't going to mention but seeing the trailer for coming up this season i figure i may. There is a clip in there where Ty calls Emily racist, or she says that she isn't racist, anyway in this episode Johnny (i think) says Paula has 'jungle fever' in regards to her flirtation with Ty. Now i've heard that saying a few times in American media, is that not classed as racist at all? Or is it acceptable and i've missed the meanining? As to me that seems like a horrible thing to say. (If this last paragraph causes offence, just say i'm completely ignorant on this subject and will be happy to remove this paragraph or if a mod wants to delete it thats fine. I was just wondering when i heard it.)
I like Ty. I've only seen him on rivals before and he then came off as obnoxious but he seems cool. He is also quite strong, people are going on about how Emily was going to carry him which I think is bull. Yeah she's strong, but so is he. Which makes me wonder why they can't beat Camila and Johnny.

He personally botched three challenges of the five he did (one was partially Johnny) and died in the elimination round against Brandon when he was basically talking about being the godsend for the whole time prior (think Wes on Rivals dialed down by maybe 25%). I like Ty, I'm rooting for him and Emily, but it really didn't seem like a stretch to say that Emily was the better half of the pair. He clearly figured out his flaw was his cardio and did what was needed to fix it and looks like a MUCH better competitor (though he looked on the verge of puking after last night so I'm not sure he's quite where he needs to be yet).

I haven't seen last night's episode yet but I mean generally, the vibe I get from him is not some kind of a can't do nothing type of guy. He in my opinion proved himself in the last few challenges, to be a good competitor. I think maybe prior his attitute was bad from what I hear that is but I don't think emily is the strongest per se. They make a good team but they wouldn't be doing oke/well if he sucked. The teams that are leading are teams that have a good partner. I look at mike and I see ****** robin and I think to myself well, he's unlucky. Same goes for some others.
Yay Aneesa and Rachel in the mission. I'm impressed, no off balance or sitting. They had so much potential in this challenge.

Johnny specifically calling for "one of the girls" to intervene with Camilla makes me think that was because of the stricter rules.
Ty on Cutthroat compared to Ty on Exes is a new man comeptively. If he was like this on Rivals he and Brandon may have been able to take out Kenny and Wes.
It's hard seeing my two favorite male competitors not do well (Abe and CT) but I will be lame and excuse their poor performances on their partners.
Man, can't believe Abe lost like that. He had it! Ty played it smarter though, he had the better position in the 2nd and 3rd round. Also, I want CT to win, but Diem is definitely an anchor, she's been sucking so far. The males who have the good female competitors have a huge advantage.
Camilla (The Challenge, Lisanti), 45 points: Watching reality TV is a little like fishing. It's a Zen process — one marked primarily by comfortable boredom and routine, and only occasionally broken by a rare flurry of activity that reminds you to cast the line in the first place. Camilla’s performance on this week’s The Challenge was just such a moment. I considered detailing the underlying insecurity and jealousy that led to her fantastic display of alcopsychoholic delirium, but really it boils down to this ... she is ******* crazy. Awesome crazy. It all started with an innocent trip to the nightclub, a couple (dozen) shots of vodka, and a hint of disinterest on the part of her teammate/romance target, Johnny Bananas. What followed cannot be captured by the English language, nor can it be rationalized — it was simply the most captivating performance caught on video since dramatic chipmunk. On a dime, she went from fun party girl raising a glass to her friends to vengeful vixen, telling Johnny Bananas out of nowhere, “You can bleep whoever you want to bleep!” (5 points) She then proceeded to demonstrate her own freedom by seductively grinding all over the nearest male humanoid stranger in her vicinity. At this point the rest of the cast ushered her out of the nightclub because it was clear that she was inslopsicated (20 points), enraged, and in no mood to curb her crazypants conduct. Camilla’s drunken display upon arriving at the house provides us with the perfect opportunity to break out the ol’ GRTFL top five list. So, without further ado, here's the Top Five Most Shocking Things the Boozy Brazilian Camilla Did in Her Hoochie Haze, listed from “She’s not crazy, she's just passionate” to “I would be worried about her killing herself, but to be honest, I think she’s already dead”: 5. The Attempt to Get Into Banana’s Hammock: The first thing she did when she got to the house was to get in Johnny’s bed. Mind you, she spent the last two hours of her life telling Johnny how much she hated him. I know, I know, this is pretty much par for the relationship course. Just keep reading. 4. The Why-God-Why?!? Maneuver: In what should soon be sampled by a dubstep DJ and made into the chorus of a vengeance dance jam, she cries (5 points) and yells, “I HATE YOOUUUU. WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO MEEEEEEEEE?” 3. The Chair Attack: After losing the battle to keep her top on, (5 points) she attempts to make amends by winning a battle against a chair (10 points). She lifts the poor pillowed seat over her head and smashes it to the ground, expecting it to explode and splinter into pieces ... but it doesn’t. She was actually kind of adorable in her failure. 2. The Classic Death Threat: At one point while she was Courtney Loving, she set her sights on Bananas and screamed, “You piece of bleep. You cheater. YOU ARE GOING TO DIIIIIIEEEEEEE!” No one has said, “You are going to die” with such pure, genuine intention since Axl Rose welcomed us all to the jungle. 1. The Zombie Swim: After Camilla raged her way into the backyard, she did something that will live in GTRFL lore for the rest of time. She just kept walking, right into the pool, without even breaking stride. It was like watching a lemming casually stroll off a cliff. It was so troubling, it caused her castmates to remark, “She looks like she is possessed by demons!” Which caused Bill to remark, “That was an insult to people that are really possessed by demons.” Emily and Ty (The Challenge, Lisanti), 10 points: Emily and Ty not only won The Dome (10 points), but Emily also landed the insult of the season. After being voted into The Dome, she eyed the veterans of the cast and spat, “Maybe one day when I do a thousands challenges and have no life I will have power in the house.” This led to Friend of Grantland Joe House and I having a furious conversation about how impressed by her we were, which led to me Googling her, which led to me finding her blog, which led to me realizing there are probably more productive ways of using my time.
via

Lol, it's pretty cool I get my own little title. I love Barbies.
I love Barbies.
Let's try to stay on topic.
I really like this Challenge like everybody has been saying it's like the old days because it looks like the cast is genuinely having a good time and they don't seem miserable. I think after Cutthroat when basically the whole cast said they had a miserable time BMP decided to let them have fun and not treat them like prisoners.
So true. The cast were miserable on "Cutthroat" and "The Ruins". Thank God production is letting them out more and have fun!
Great episode, hate to see Abram go though :( I think this was his last challenge.
Not bad. Camila jumping into the pool was original and creepy. LMAO. I'm loving this challenge. And funny how Mark/Robin didn't take out Aneesa/Rachel real suspicious.
Well, it's not something I would ever say. Seemed extremely inappropriate. And yes, it was Johnny.
Well since its coming from Johnny I don't think he meant any harm nor do I find it Racist, Matty. Many people on both sides of the spectrum use it in everyday. Not if they said it with a racist slur then I can see where you're coming from. Molds, I don't blame you at all. Sometimes you gotta let **** slide.
Well, it's not something I would ever say. Seemed extremely inappropriate. And yes, it was Johnny.
Just out of curiosity, how would it be racist? I've heard it, but I've never even thought of anything racist. I may just be missing something...
Just out of curiosity, how would it be racist? I've heard it, but I've never even thought of anything racist. I may just be missing something...
It came about by a white person wanting a black person. Its considered racist because the jungle part is in reference to the black person being an "ape" from the jungle. Johnny got away with it for two reasons 1. He was obviously kidding, and everyone knows he's a jokester 2. Ty and him are friendly and he said it right in front of him and was trying to help him out. The whole scenario wasn't racist at all which is why it was ok. I'm a little surprised it was put on TV though, it wouldn't be offensive to the people involved but to some viewers it could be.
Why are you surprised its on tv? Hell thursday evening they aired Jungle Fever on television.
I think it's a term that can be extremely offensive. You said yourself you didn't find it to be racist, but that it all depends on how someone says it - I agree. I'm not offended, I just thought it was inappropriate. I doubt Johnny meant it in a racist way; he certainly did not say it with malice and I have never considered him to be a racist, but there are certain things I just wouldn't say around people of other races, and even if I did, I wouldn't expect it to be ok just because I know I'm not racist. For example, if a white person hangs around with all black people and then uses the n-word (as in -a, not -er), that's still not ok to a lot of black people, even if he wasn't trying to be offensive.
Just out of curiosity, how would it be racist? I've heard it, but I've never even thought of anything racist. I may just be missing something...
I'm not sure how to explain it as being racist, but I've heard it used in the same sentence as "************", something I also find to be a racist term. It was originally deemed an offensive term (and still is to many) used to describe a white person being attracted toward a black person. I mean, interracial sex between blacks and whites in some states was illegal until fairly recently (Loving v. Virginia, 1967); I'm sure you can imagine the hatred that still remains for some people regarding that kind of thing.

I thought it was a phrase that originated with some Spike Lee movie by the same name.
I thought it was a phrase that originated with some Spike Lee movie by the same name.
It's more like the name of the Spike Lee movie was named based on what it was about. That term has been around long before 1991.
