Battle of the Seasons: Austin - Danny, Melinda, Wes, Lacey

When Team Austin's Danny and Melinda met on their season it was love at first sight. They began dating and quickly captured the hearts of fans everywhere, who were mesmerized by their storybook romance. After their show ended, Danny proposed to Melinda and the two sweethearts tied the knot into wedded bliss. But nothing lasts forever... After a short time their fairy-tale ending came crashing down and the couple divorced. Now reunited and on the same team after three years apart, will Danny and Melinda be able to work together to win money? Melinda admits, "The whole Danny and Melinda relationship thing, I'm over it. But put $$250,000 in front of anybody and you can definitely become friends with your ex." Rounding out Team Austin are Challenge newbie Lacey and elite veteran Wes, the game's notorious political mastermind. But how will Wes fare on a team with two divorcees and a rookie? Wes fears, "In my team it's difficult to say whether I'm a leader...or the glue. Danny and Melinda will never be fully over each other, and I don't know what to expect out of Lacey athletically." Wes' true incentive comes in the form of record-breaking game stats, as he brags, "When my team wins this Challenge, I will go down in history as being the person who has won more money from MTV than anybody else." Can Wes guide his team to victory? Or will Austin's complicated past ruin their chance of taking home the prize? via MTV

I'm really surprsied that they were able to dig up Lacey and have her on this challenge. Just goes to show you what a little effort on BMP's part in terms of casting does. But despite having Lacey there I don't really want them to go far.

Wes's act is old. but I am excited to see Melinda and Danny interact. Lacey is a nice surprise, hopefully she impresses and BMP/MTV continue going after MIA vets.

How they were probably calling Johanna every day begging her to come back and eventually it just got to a point where they were like "Screw it...may as well give Lacey a call." I still think this team sucks. Danny...five challenges, 0-5 in eliminations. Melinda may be underrated but that doesn't mean she's actually GOOD...it just means she's better than what her **** poor record says she is. Lacey doesn't look slightly athletic but who knows. And besides beating Brandon up a rope twice has Wes done anything impressive since the Ruins?

I never saw Rachel on Gauntlet 3, but I know that she and her team won that challenge, plus she was in the army before the RW, right? I wouldn't have had a problem seeing her, since I never got to see her before.

I am quite pumped to see Lacey on this challenge. I hope she performs welll & by the way, what does Johanna bring to the challenge except zero athleticism & an obnoxious voice. She's nothing.

Maybe my expectations were just too high. I wouldn't have been mad if she returned (she's not Shauvon or anything) but I like the fact Lacey's returning after all these years. I think that's an interesting story

Plus she is nice to look at. :give_rose:

I like the random wtf Lacey choice, because it is so random and unpredictable. I also think it is a great way to bring in "fresh meat" so they challenges don't get stale, but at the same time it pleases longtime viewers of the show who want more vets.

I liked her as a person but I thought Johanna was a better competitor and I don't think Johanna's a good competitor. Anyway, I'm glad we finally get to see Lacey--now every Austin cast member has been on one.

TeamAustin? More like TeamOldSchool! I want to like this team, but seeing Wes on it prevents that situation from happening. Stop liking that guy after FM2. Anyways can't wait to see the ex couple interact and wow look at Lacey. She may be the biggest shock to see participate in a Challenge since Jo on Gauntlet 2. TeamAustin for me is 75/25.

I always thought Danny didnt age, until he took off his hat. Yeah he looks a bit different, too bad hes loosing his hair. Lacey looks odd too, the pics dont do her justice neither does her outfit, Ive seen pics of her from not too long ago on fb and she looked much younger and prettier. Melinda looks EXACTLY the same as she did on Austin, good for her.

What happened to the Wes who talked **** and backed it up on FM, Duel, and Ruins? Since FM2 His game has gone way down (Just like his fans lol) He just doesn't give a **** about the Challenges anymore, he said so on his TeamAustin interview with Lacey. Speaking of Lacey, good job girl. First time on a Challenge and she did well on her mission and somewhat good in her elimination round. Wouldn't mind seeing her again.As for Dan and Mel, Battle of the Seasons have turned into Battle of the Exes for them. Nany said it best in her interview, couldn't work out their marriage so how can they work out this team. BTW LOL at people's comments about Danny's age and hair. Does his aging and hair effect you people that much? Who cares what his hair looks like, worry about your own lol.
