Amazing Race: Ep. 2 - When the Cow Kicked Me in the Head
A contestant encounters a moody cow at a roadblock; a newly formed alliance rubs teams the wrong way.
I'll be watching later (DVR.) Too much other stuff on right now (e.g. Olympics.)
I really don't like the lesbians..
Nanna. =( They were so close. Stupid cow.
I loved how the cowboys was ahead the whole episode... those two crack me up! I'd love to see them go far!
The Cowboys really impressed me. The Lesbians are already annoying me. They seem unfriendly. It's funny that the Big Brother team and the Miss South Carolina team worked together.
when they say the last group "may" be eliminated...do the producers figure this out ahead of time? Like...they'll know which leg of the race will be a non-elimination leg? It seems fishy..."Oh, Jeff and Jordan...you AREN'T eliminated, because we like you!" haha I liked the Grandma, but they were pretty slow and it was obvious they wouldn't be along for long. Kudos to her even being up for the challenge though. I'm not a fan of the Cops. meh. The lesbians...will withhold judgment til after next week. I actually don't despise Brent and Katie (sp?) - I think Jeff and Jordan should definitely hook up with them since the other alliance has already been formed.

It wouldn't be fair if they decided to say ohhhhh by the way. Plus they'd have to have another task set up for them ahead of time at the next destination.
Finally got around to watching the firs two episodes! So happy TAR is back :) I think I am feeling the father/daughter, brothers, cowboys and the police guy teams the most. The Big Brother team is funny and entertaining but I do prefer to have competitive teams near the end. It's early though so anyone can surprise me, just like the cowboys did this episode. Though their dominance came mostly from luck, it is a big factor in TAR. When they had the llama challenge I was like "Oh hell no would I ever deal with them!" We had neighbors move into the house next to me once who came from NYC and decided they wanted to get all country and start an alpaca farm, which are basically cousins to llamas. So they bought the house next to us to keep the alpacas while their farm in VT was getting ready. Needless to say the 3 acres or so was so not enough to keep these guys even temporarily. They put up an electric fence, which my brother and I got shocked on a time or two, and spread their crap all over our yard. Then the things would spit like no other and were totally unpleasant. Long story short, I would have jumped at the condor challenge. And seriously, who holds a place in line for someone that wasn't even there to lose it in the first place. Definitely a kindergarten move. If you can't move your butt fast enough to get in line first you don't get to buy the first round of tickets. I also didn't think you could buy stuff for another team. Didn't the husband/wife team buy all 4 tickets?
Yep definitely a stupid move to let them butt, and yes he said I'll take four tickets.
I liked the Grandma, but they were pretty slow and it was obvious they wouldn't be along for long.
It was going to be this week or the next, and they were lucky it was not last week...
I'm not a fan of the Cops. meh.
They are quite annoying.
The lesbians...will withhold judgment til after next week.
They are the "villains" this season and I have already grown a strong dislike.
I actually don't despise Brent and Katie (sp?) - I think Jeff and Jordan should definitely hook up with them since the other alliance has already been formed.
I like both these teams, although Caite makes me laugh every time she says she is, like..um really smart (because now she has a map and has been to The Chile!) The cowboys have impressed me and while they did pull a fast one on the other teams by not sharing information, it wasn't really sabotage, just smart game play.
Yep definitely a stupid move to let them butt, and yes he said I'll take four tickets.
Well, they always say that. :D They need 2 for the team and 2 for the crew (camera + sound.) But CBS used that little exchange to further the "alliance" edit.
Well, they always say that. :D They need 2 for the team and 2 for the crew (camera + sound.) But CBS used that little exchange to further the "alliance" edit.
AH! Okay, I didn't even think of the crew, haha. I was confused because it also showed the lesbians buying tickets, so the whole exchange threw me off a little bit.
The Cops are a bit annoying, but for some reason the Lesbians really get to me. They even look a little villian-ish! I wouldn't be sad to see both those teams go. I rather the Lesbians go first. I like Steve and Allie, the father/daughter team, but I haven't seen much of them. I still have to decide if I like the brothers team (Dan and Justin) Sometimes I think they are funny and other times I think they are annoying. Have to see more of them.
I like Steve and Allie, the father/daughter team, but I haven't seen much of them.
I basically saw them finishing and that was all I remember. Hopefully we see more of them next week.
2nd episode wasn't entertaining, both tasks of detour were boring and the roadblock wasn't interesting. I hope we'll see more impressive and extreme tasks or challenges. Lesbians are getting on my nerves, so are the Brothers (dunno why).
All the tasks of this episode were crap. It was way more challenging for them to actually FIND the stuff than actually doing it. But, I could watch Jeff and Jordon read a dictionary and love it. Hate the lesbian/asian couple alliance. I just find it annoying and all their attitudes annoying, like everyone else. I hope their friendship falls apart soon! (seems like I remember the lesbians fighting in next week's previews, or was that wishful thinking?)
I love the cowboys, but I miss the Globetrotters this season! They were just hilarious to me! It's kind of annoying how many "celebrity" or well known people are being cast on the race, though. Big Brother, Miss America, Teen Miss SC, Harlem Globetrotters, a pro baseball coach, etc...I realize it gets viewers because people want to tune in to see someone they already know, but it seems like people don't have a chance to make it on this show unless they've already done something in the public eye.
