Amazing Race 17: Ep. 2 - A Kiss Saves the Day
The ten remaining teams depart the Pit Stop at Eastnor Castle in England heading to Ghana. One team contemplates using its express pass after playful locals give some teams a headache during a high-stakes roadblock.
I'm hoping we get some more dumb phrases from some of the teams. Or at least a part that is half as great as the watermelon moment.
They must have been short on catchy episode titles this week, because "A kiss saves the day" was dropped right out of the gate and had little consequence...
Wow, an airport scene that lasted all of 30 seconds. That's a first.
Wow, an airport scene that lasted all of 30 seconds. That's a first.
I was happy for that. I wish they would do that more often. On another note, I would hands down be the one to do the roadblock because I'm great at shady dealings ;)
I honestly have never been a fan of what I consider to be begging road blocks. Especially in poor countries.
Yeah, I'm sure it really makes them feel uncomfortable. Team Watermelon, Team Asian, and Team Glee are kind of surprising me tonight after that task. Was it just me or were those coffins kind of creepy, yet kind of cool at the same time?
I found it funny that that one television had all white noise and the guy was like "No Good?" as if he thought it was. Tonight's episode is really dragging. Also I'm really happy in the first two teams to finish. I'm really wanting an all female team to win this season. :D

Sad to see the mother/daughter team eliminated so early in the race.
It was a slow episode. Sad to see the mother/daughter team eliminated so early in the race.
And my hopes of a F/F team grow a tad bit smaller after that elimination. I'm hoping the tatted up couple get eliminated next, they are just annoying the hell out of me. From the previews it seems as if they may be in jeopardy and I love it.

Was it just me or were those coffins kind of creepy, yet kind of cool at the same time?
I took a Sociology of Death and Dying class in College and I learnt about different types of Coffins. It's not as unusual as people think to have such coffins. Many countries have coffins, which resemble a person's interest, hobby or work. It was upsetting to see the Mother/Daughter team go. I wish they made it further. I'm a sucker for happy endings/beginnings and for the mother and daughter to meet after all those years is definitely a happy beginning.
