I just realized they didn't mention Andy Griffith in the In Memoriam piece.
Lee over Spielberg! I think this was the first surprise of the night!
Agreed as to the outcome. Clearly the tide has been in the favor of Life of Pi tonight which means the Academy voters are fans of the film across the board.
Jesus, really? Another commercial?
I just realized they didn't mention Andy Griffith in the In Memoriam piece.
That is an oversight. Although, he was a television actor and not a film star.
Who would have guessed?
So graceful.
Jennifer Lawrence fell.
... and Robert DeNiro is asleep.
Jennifer Lawrence fell.
That will be replayed a million, billion times across the globe. On the upside, she has reached the pinnacle of her chosen profession.

Meryl Streep doesn't **** around. Announce what everyone already knew was going to happen and get on with it!
Four score and seven years ago...
Meryl Streep doesn't **** around. Announce what everyone already knew was going to happen and get on with it!
I appreciated that as well.
The Best Actor category is STACKED. Every single one of these performances was amazing.
DDL's got jokes!
DDL's got jokes!
And they are actually pretty good.
And they are actually pretty good.
I, too, would like to see Meryl Streep as Lincoln. That sounds kinda dirty. EDIT: That's better.
It's the FLOTUS. I wonder if that means Zero Dark Thirty is going to win.
What a coup!
It's the FLOTUS. I wonder if that means Zero Dark Thirty is going to win.
I wonder why Zero Dark Thirty tanked. It was so highly regarded.
"I know what you're thinking... It's the 3 sexiest producers alive." ZING!
I wonder why Zero Dark Thirty tanked. It was so highly regarded.
One word: Interrogation. There was a partisan debate on the subject which split the votes.
He really laid it on thick on the director part. Couldn't possibly be because he got snubbed :)
He really laid it on thick on the director part. Couldn't possibly be because he got snubbed
Everyone knows the Academy screwed up there. He is allowed to make a few jousts, haha.
I thought Seth McFarlane did a really great job. Wouldn't mind him hosting again.
So, I still hate that Ben Affleck played the lead role in Argo... but I hate all the hate he's getting. Yes, he did Gigli and Daredevil.. but he's GREAT. I'm such a fan. I've always had a serious thing for him.
"Hey, Haters! Don't look so surprised. Remember Good Will Hunting? Kiss my ****." -What Ben Affleck should be saying.

Wow I can't believe a Ben Afflick speech had me in tears. I think it's cause I understand him. When you work in the entertainment industry, and get screwed over by people who you thought were your friends, and seems like no one believes in you or don't want to give you an opportunity. I've been unemployed for 3 years since I graduated college with a music business degree. I only had an opportunity to take up temporary positions and assignments. Sometimes I've even seen my former interns get a position over me because they knew somebody or had a relationship with one of the executives while I get passed on and ignored. Thank you Ben for reminding me and others in the entertainment business to continue to work hard, don't hold grudges, and get up after struggles. I can't believe I'm still crying haha I need to man up!
Why are/were you crying though? I liked his speech but it was never that serious, Producer.
"Hey, Haters! Don't look so surprised. Remember Good Will Hunting? Kiss my ****." -What Ben Affleck should be saying.
My point exactly.
I wonder why Zero Dark Thirty tanked. It was so highly regarded.
True but a lot of people found it annoying.
