Sydney knows she's on a tv show and absolutely knows that there's a niche spot on the recurring cast as a cocky jerk ala Laurel and Wes. She's mixing that with a bit of Amanda but also she's ACTUALLY a great competitor.

And I appreciate her for it! She's hamming it up for the cameras. Her confessionals are entertaining. This show LOVES to dump entertaining promising rookies.
What is she supposed to do? Be a likable rootable underdog like Cassidy? Be the literal Rookie of the Year and never get cast again? Queen's carving out her niche on the cast. I respect it!
You have to target or carve out an archetype for yourself on this show if you want to get cast again. That's what Wes did. That's what Bananas did. That's what Cara did. That's what Jordan did. That's what Ashley did. That's what Amanda did.
The whole "I'm amazing" schtick was funny at first but that's really all she's got. Like the joke every time is you're laughing at how bold she is, she's not saying anything particularly witty.
