I don't watch love island, never seen one episode of survivor or the amazing race..and I stopped watching bb after season 22 (all stars). So idk any of these rookies tbh.
It's just weird to see them go and get Dee, the biggest Survivor winner in the last 5 years and then go and get a background character from a documentary show that wasn't even super popular. Even Coye like I get what they're going for potential wise but it's just giving off the vibe that they were desperate for someone from the new LI and they just got the person who was easiest to get besides the Casa Nobodies.
The last time we had a half rookie season the majority of the newbies either got banned or ghosted (we only still get Theo and Josh lol). Will this crop be different?
The show's not going to last long enough to know. Seriously. I'm guessing right now Season 43 will be the final flagship season.
lol people have been saying the show is going down hill and will be cancelled since gauntlet 2 time, like constantly since then. I highly doubt it'll end anytime soon. Casting may keep getting worse but it's not going anywhere. hopefully all stars 1-4 and 40 wasn't the last time we see fun surprises on the cast. This list for 41 is eh at best so far, Aviv is the only exciting name on it for me.
Excited Aviv is back! Her and Derek are fun surprises to have back again. The rest of the vets are fine but predictable. Don't care or know about any of those rookies listed yet, hoping for some fun surprises like Tina.

Honestly there's probably at least a half dozen people on there worth at least giving a shot since they're throwing anyone from anywhere on it anyways. I'm sure they're cheap too since it's not like the show was that popular or anyone from it has gotten booked elsewhere yet

For example: Bayleigh literally said she'd come back but only if Kam came back & we know kam isn't coming back to the flagship show for a while. I'm confused as to why they aren't using girls from The Challenge: USA. I would love to see Justine or Desi on the main show.

they can easily fix this by shortening the filming process to just something like 13-15 episodes plus the reunion. wouldn't they save money that way
If you put the cast to a fan vote and said here's 150 Veteran Challengers that want to return and you can vote for them to return, Aneesa probably finishes in the 75-85 range, Olivia in the 85-95, and Derek mayyyyybe finishes in the 105-115 range. And that's with their recency bias.
Needless to say, all three are wanted by absolutely no one except Tori for Aneesa, Michele for Olivia, and Ryan for Derek.

Nah it somehow still does decent ratings even though they do everything to sabotage the show... At the very least it will be here till season 50 and we can revisit it then bc at that point everyone will be mostly pushing 40 and up. Imagine seeing bananas and Ct at 50 competiting with 20 somethings in a couple years lol
