Although I would want all vets as well...... I can't imagine production would not bring in a new class of rookies. The last 2 seasons had zero new players and the 38 rookies were not great. It would make sense to have another Fresh Meat/Bloodline/War of the Worlds type season with 50% vets and 50% rookies.

If there's going to be 19 episodes, there better be AT LEAST 36 players. Or we're gonna average 1.4 eliminations an episode aka every 2 out of 3 episodes will be single elimination.
They cast 40 people on Eras just to take out 8 in the second episode. A 36 person cast just means at least one purge early on. Save the appearance fee.
It makes a ton of sense to bring in 14-18 rookies. I just hope casting did their job and there's at least 8 worthy of returning for multiple seasons.

32 players on a 19 episode season is just so dumb I cannot comprehend it. You'll essentially either have 10-12 single elimination episodes (WHICH ABSOLUTELY DRAG) or you'll have multiple episodes during the season where no one goes home. And if you have any quits/DQ's it gets way, way worse.
after coming off a season like 40 you need a palette cleanser it just makes sense. I personally find it obnoxious to have a season that will likely be referred as a "new era" like that wasn't the entire promotional material for 39 but whatever. The Season 40 90 minute episodes with a weak daily, a predicatable deliberation, and then one elimination were absolutely terrible.
