I think OS was trying to be Devil's Advocate and show a different perspective, this situation is just not an appropriate one to pull that imo. When it comes to racist comments there aren't two sides, there's just wrong.

When do I defend John?   John's just doing what he does to stay relevant as we all know.  

Bananas has shown before that he is racist.  He continued to call Cheyenne the wrong name (Shantell) knowing it was a stereotypical black name.  He knows how to trigger racism just enough to hurt people......but fool other racist people into think the other person is overreacting.

Season 40 is the first season I almost liked him..... I thought maybe he grew up.
