bc they're on these shows as their drag personas, they are often still referred to as "she/her." it would be different if they were going by their real name (for example: if kandy was on hov as "kevin" ppl would prob refer to her as he/him).
there's tiers to it. queens like peppermint, Sasha Colby, Sasha Velour, Raja, Katya etc. are veryyyy heavily defended and are in this sort of untoucheable tier where anyone who comes for them will get their shit rocked online, and be painted as problematic.

well fans know their drag race contestants in the context of their drag presentation on the show. no one is gonna call kandi muse 'kevin he/him' because it just sounds kind of weird lol. fans tend to refer to queens with she/her pronouns, regardless of if they are actually trans or not just because it's what they're familiar with.
