The traitors really should have had someone be a lookout because that was risky, and it's no surprise someone heard them. It would have been so easy for someone to see them coming out, too.

It's actually funny how no one talks about the murders except for the few minutes after it's revealed. They almost don't matter at all, other than whittling the numbers down.
