She's just VERY high-functoning. Plus doctors will disgnosis anyone these days and it's seen as "trendy". The different levels of the spectrum need different names though because it's really not right for Amber, Kyland, and others to be categorized along side those with serious struggles from the disability.
This is such a dumb take, there is a reason 'Aspergers' is no longer used, which was once a term used to call people high functioning. Whether or not there they are high functioning or not, it's still based on the same diagnostic criteria characterized in the dsm, and there are many ways people on various ends of the specturm can relate to eachother, even if those commonalities aren't picked up by neurotypicals. Being high functioning also presents unique struggles that they face as a RESULT of their autism not being taken seriously in schools, workplaces, etc.
It's not fair to have people like Amber and Kyland in the same category as people who are non-verbal and can never live independently. I stand by that.
So since love island 6 did amazing and it did because apparently most of the cast got millions of followers doing just one show while these challengers barely have a million after a million shows... would it be smart of them to throw the entire cast out completely and do a total new cast of 21-29 year olds only and build that class from here on out and add more young ppl season after season.

I will say it again, casting has not been the problem recently: casting only "sucked" for 39. All Stars 1-4, USA 1+2, and 40 all have great casts. The problem is the FORMATS of most of the shows and the inability to capture what makes exciting tv and reproduce it efficiently.
You give Season 40 a better format, it could've been legendary. Instead, we got the boring slog that we gor.
So since love island 6 did amazing and it did because apparently most of the cast got millions of followers doing just one show while these challengers barely have a million after a million shows... would it be smart of them to throw the entire cast out completely and do a total new cast of 21-29 year olds only and build that class from here on out and add more young ppl season after season.
The "smart" thing would've been to develop a promising rookie class over the past 5 seasons instead of dumping 90% of all rookies, but I digress. It's too late now to add a bunch of 25 years olds to interact genuinely with a bunch of 38-45 year olds.

they would never get rid of their regulars but Love island s6 is proof that reality tv isnt dead and can catch on quickly with the young by just clips on tiktok. But the way mtv reports any clips of their footage, that will never happen. (Also with how boring they edit it, there will be no scenes to go viral.) This franchise has such potential but as always, production squanders it. The people want drama!
