Show Description
Viewers will follow contestants as they embark on the road trip of a lifetime but have no idea where they are. In order to win, they must figure out their mystery locations. Once they’re on the blacked-out Destination X bus, the journey transforms into a real-life game board, with challenges designed to offer clever clues as to their location, along with a few misdirects to keep them guessing. At the end of each episode, contestants must guess where they are and the furthest from the actual location is sent packing. The first participant to reach Destination X will be crowned the winner. With high stakes and mind-blowing spectacular gameplay, the series will keep viewers engaged and take them along for the ride.

Depending on the other contestants pilot Pete can have this on the bag. He was somewhat strategical and smart on traitors. I would assumed that pilots have knowledge about geography and I would assumed he has been to a lot of countries.

do new shows ever actually cast randoms anymore or is everything just pick and choose from other shows. it's like big brother and survivor are the only newbie casts nowadays
I would say that this show sounds like "Road Rules" with a twist, and it makes BMP's whole stance on not knowing how to adapt that show to modern times look extremely foolish, especially since other networks and platforms are successfully doing it. It reflects poorly on their creative department.
Theres stuff like Squid Games (although Figgy from Survivor was on it).
But, if I had to guess, I think it's just easier for them to reach out to established personalities and go from there. Built-in fan bases that make it easier to attract people who otherwise may not watch.
You have something like Buddy Games with different teams of different reality shows it probably would've got a lot more traction. Love Island's most recent season might give reason to "invest" in new talent but LI is an established brand so most new shows I imagine wouldn't take the chance.
