You can be a Democrat and support the police. I won't get into politics here though cause it always ends with people having sour feelings. But I will say political parties in the US turn a lot of people off. For instance, I'm a Democrat and I fully support the police and gun rights, but I fully support gay rights, women's health rights, fully believe in climate change and new energy resources, and I support just about any law that prevents discrimination. The poster children for the right and left in this country are insane and don't represent the majority for these parties. The only ones that follow along to a T are college students cause they're the stupidest class allowed to vote cause you can tell them anything and they believe it.
