I never once thought Averey would be more than a secondary character. I had a soft spot for her because she competed really well on her rookie season and was robbed of a second chance to prove herself on Rivals 3.
At that point, she was completely disregarded as was the rest of Portland sans Jordan when that class should've been some of the faces of the franchise moving forward (Jordan, Marlon, Nia particularly and Jess and Averey as supporting characters. Fv ck Johnny.)
She continued to advocate for herself on social media and on Mike Lewis asking for another chance. A chance she absolutely deserved. She was an upper tier competitor (obviously not proven elite) and she's gorgeous.
So after me and a few of the Vevmo select few kept her name in circulation for eight years, she's now gotten massive opportunites in All Stars 4 and Season 40. It's obvious that she's mostly cast as the hot girl eye candy but who also can compete really well.
She never was a Kellyanne/Amanda type, which is okay because those types get sniped on this show in the first half of the season every season now.
I still think Averey can get into well placed situational drama. But she clearly needs to step it up on the social/strategic/drama side if she wants a future on this show. It's clear she only made 40 because Ashley is softbanned and Nany, Marie, Kailah all said no. She has a built-in storyline with Nia.

I'm lowkey hoping the Peacock purchasing Paramount rumor happens. I think it'll largely improve casting of The Challenge and Big Brother (other shows too). I feel like they'll cast people purposefully for their shows that'll fit for their other shows as well so we'll finally back to a feeder system of rookies that we really haven't seen since pre-Vendettas.
