Not rooting for him isn't indicative of holding an immense amount of hatred. He's always been incredibly cocky, and at times misogynistic, and that's not really a personality I can root for. I think in real life he's a great friend and father, but on the show his personality turns me off.

People hate Leroy because he worked with John. Leroy's insanely likeable and that's a dumb reason to hate him. Cory isn't comparable to Leroy but people can like or hate anyone they want.
