Production presents their cast and format to the network and then they approve or deny.
Just read the spoilers and lol at Kamroy once again targeting a champ and not winning at the end. Leroy is really the biggest flop of the history of this franchise
What do we think we are getting this coming week? I doubt we get cast pics and a trailer if the air date is in April. My guess is a 20 second clip of old footage of the cast that is on.

This is a rock and a hard place. I wanna see the DRAMA, but Ayanna is going through so much right now so it's better if it's just not shown. This is a lose lose, but still the less awful option.

I imagine they wanted to push out 39 in time to film 40 and since USA 2 aired on CBS, something had to be cut.
They should've just pushed 39 until this year and filmed 40 while it aired.
