curious to see how it does moving forward with survivor/amazing race basically over
I don't think survivor ending has necessarily ever increase the challenge ratings by much atleast on previous seasons. It's not the first time this airs with survivor and survivor ending midway through lol

Yeah for the past few seasons we've always expected a big increase and it never really happens. I think we overestimate the overlap just because we all watch both shows

Every season people states the same when survivor and big brother are airing at the same time...Then those shows ends and the challenge viewers stays on the same rating number range with minimal change.
Based on past history people that watch CBSs shows aren't the same that have cable with MTV based on the minimal change rating wise.
ratings dont really matter at this point imo, they already proved that there wasn't THAT big of a dropoff when they didnt have any veterans. production and mtv won.
They have put survivors on the challenge who's survivor seasons had like 8-10 million viewers and the challenge ratings still flop... the ratings never change much when survivor ends
I don't think this show is ever in jeopardy of being canceled because it's all MTV has. They have nothing else to air so whatever ratings this show can really is irrelevant. Plus they aren't on a streaming service so that's a disadvantage as well
Putting the show against Survivor is just beyond stupidity. I don't get it at all. Why go against that monster? Especially when you're poaching their talent to fill your rosters!
20%+ increase this week, even with the holidays. I imagine next week will be even higher, maybe even hit 500k viewers.
where are the million views?
nm
Exactlyyy proof that drama provides>>>
This. Unfortunately production is too dumb to realize this and they'll think people actually cared about seeing Casey.
Number 5 on cable with 389k and 0.17 in the demo

Pretty good but a drop

After this coming week, it should easily hit 500-550k moving forward. Even 600k shouldn't be out of the question.
Imma lol when there's no difference after Survivir ends.

Ratings went up 100-150k last year on ROD after Survivor ended. There will definitely be a bump.

Number 7th on cable overall and 3rd show that wasn't sport reated

Episode 10- Viewed by 359,000 people and received a 0.16 rating in the 18-49 demographic
It'll climb back up over 500k after the New Year.
Time will tell lol
Is Gamer BSing or is the flagship in legit trouble?
lol as of now they are okay better than majority mtv shows.
Episode 11 - Viewed by 455,000 people and received a 0.19 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
Best episode of the season with Survivor off the air. Duh.

MTV is in jeopardy of being cancelled, not this show.

It was our fault the ratings were high. We had everyone believing we were getting the AS4 promo. That's where that jump came from, not Survivor.
if i was a producer and it wasn't season 40, i would be doing the EXACT SAME MODEL next year, getting the cheapest cast possible with maybe 3-4 vets
it's proven you could put literally anyone on this cast and people will still watch
Season 40 will be the last flagship MTV season and that's fine
future of the challenge is on CBS
Wait why y'all saying the challenge is being cancelled on mtv lol
Its not lol That's the only show working on mtv right now
