It seems like it's most expected for black people to do the most on these shows and if they don't they're automatically labeled boring or useless. Interesting.

I agree. We see the same thing with Darrell. She isn't a dynamic personality but the show needs a variety of personalities. She is a great background character. Her confessionals are good, she's charasmatic, she plays a strategic game, and she's a decent competitor. I came in this season ready to hate her but have really enjoyed her.
i could have sworn i commented on her thread when she was announced but i guess it was in the episode threads lol. but ya shes good casting imo. i would love to see drea too from her survivor season she had some fire under her

Do casuals like Desi? Because for some reason I think Desi loved but she's tame and normal, which I love her for it anyway.

She's gotten called boring as of late, but I think she's seen as relatively inoffensive to the casual audience. Desi is pretty well-spoken so I think that works well for her in her confessionals, she's someone I want to hear talk.
As for Chanelle people started dragging her in defense of Cassidy. And, I 100% think if Chanelle had to do Cassidy's eliminations she would've won them too. Plus, she hasn't won anything but some her of daily performances were good so I don't think she's nearly as bad as they've been acting.
I could see her turning out on a season where her back is against the wall. I get people love an underdog but they can't be mad Chanelle is better positioned in the game. 3 to 0 is great for a rookie but Cassidy hasn't taken out anyone above her on the totem pole of strength as of yet. There's a reason Chanelle was considered a strong girl and Cassidy wasn't.
Casuals don't understand good gameplay so they hate anyone who doesn't go in an elimination. Chanelle is just another example, they do this shit all the time. She's been constantly a top female competitor in the challenges but without the win they dislike her.

ive said this for years. Black people have always been held to a different standard in what they are expected to bring to the table. Its very obvious.
Chanelle is playing a great game so far & has performed well. And its not even like shes been completely in the shadows, shes been apart of arguments & strategic conversations.

She reminds me of a modern day Holly S. I love her.
You not that ***** or nothing but you ate that one little thing
GIRL YOU, DESI, AND MICHAELA BETTER FIND SOME ALLIES THEY COMING FOR YOU.
I am liking her a lot this season.
Not getting a great edit this season. I still think she has massive amounts of potential though.
It's clear they don't like chanelle at all
NINJA TURTLE!!! Lol
Idk I find her really likable. Judging by the comments by casuals on IG, they do not like her at all
zzzz
The casuals hate her, so bring her *** back.
I'm sorry, I like the girl. I can tell her edit doesn't do her any favors.

I need to catch up but I think I mentioned Chanelle being messier in Survivor than this, I was hoping we'd get that messy gameplay from her here.
Chanelle earned my respect in that red team deliberation, if it comes down to it she doesn't gaf.
The only thing she didn't do was argue with Cassidy and I have more respect for her running up in a physical daily than going back and forth with her.
She reminds me of a modern day Holly S. I love her.
I like her and I don't really see a reason why not too.
Watching this season and yeah y'all did way too much on her lmao.
She was trying to play the game, had no problem targeting vets, was a decent competitor, had feuds with Josh, Michele, and Cassidy...
I really don't get y'all sometimes.
Chanelle has potential for sure. She deserves another shot.
Clear potential moving forward but everyone acting like she was had nothing to offer.
Got far too much flack from the all sides but that's a whole other can of worms.
She was great. The full package really.
She seems fun.
Production is scared she'll end their faves again *giggles*
