The Emmy Award-winning and recently nominated THE AMAZING RACE begins its milestone 35th season starting at the iconic Hollywood Sign, celebrating the famous landmark’s100th anniversary, on the 90-minute season premiere of the CBS Original series THE AMAZING RACE, in its new time period, Wednesday, Sept. 27 (9:30-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*. In its biggest season yet, the race ups the ante, by starting with an unprecedented 13 new globetrotting teams who will set off on a 23,800-mile adventure around the world and visit a new country, Slovenia, known for its beautiful landscape and dramatic scenery. Here, teams will fly in a gravity defying glider, 2,000 feet over Lake Bled, cross-country ski indoors and climb 1,110 steps to the top of Planica’s tallest ski jump, among other once-in-a-lifetime challenges.
In the premiere episode, for the first time, a former team surprises racers as judges at the end of the first Roadblock, where one team member must traverse a perilous tightrope stretched from one roof top to another at the historic Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Also this season, the show returns to commercial travel and will bring back no non-elimination legs, the race-changing Express Pass and a twist on the infamous U-Turn, making this season one of the most competitive.

I am excited for this season. FINALLY back to airport travel, U-Turns, and express pass. Hopefully will lead to cutthroat gameplay and drama

apparnetly this season was filmed second, but is airing first even though it should be "amazing race 36", that's odd
I feel like this unnecessary 90 minute crap isn't going to last so maybe they felt 36 could fill the extra 30 minutes better. But with what they are doing with All-Stars 4, Viacom is just incompetent and dumb. So who knows
It's true- it's not like All Stars 4 though it's really just because the original 35 was not filmed with 90 minute episodes in mind so they wouldn't have enough content to fill it. Also there are reliable rumors that production didn't like that season regardless and thought it was a failure
How is Jesse T still employed? Has he put together a single good cast since he took over? Maybe the season of Survivor where Maryanne won but that's it.
What don't you like about this cast? I think it has a lot of potential- it's one of the oldest Amazing Race casts ever, still have some younger teams, very few recruits, and it seems like a lot of them are very competitive
I think at least right now it's the best TAR cast in a while
S41, S42 had some really strong casts.

LOL, I wasn't talking about this cast cause I haven't seen them. I just mean his history of casting, but honestly it's probably not his fault. He just casts what producers ask for which is for uplifting stories. We won't ever have people fighting again like Colin and Mirna or people almost getting arrested. There are a couple of interesting looking teams but there should always be a stereotypical hot female team. He quit casting pretty people and I'm mad about it lol.
A Peacekeeper endorsement is a sign the cast will be boring lol.

Jocelyn and Victor look boring, but his smile gives misogynistic vibes so they could have an interesting dynamic.
Liam and Yeremi are intriguing considering they had a falling out for years, there might be lingering feelings.
Andrea & Malania look fun! I'm excited for them, they look like they have amazing energy.

Robbin & Chelsea, Robbin looks like she'd be fun drunk. They might entertain.
Greg & John, they seem cool. They will probably be one of my favorite teams.
Rob & Cory, no opinion yet. Rob will probably get hurt and they'll be disqualified early.
Joel & Garrett, they were cast because of ridiculous facial hair. I'll never get why production sees a big beard and gets instantly hard. They'll go deep and offer nothing of substance.
Elizabeth & Iliana, first boots. Indifferent as of now.
Nerdy Siblings, they are probably into îñcèst and I'm not into that. A hot girl team should have replaced them.
I don't understand TAR's obsesion with casting twink gay couples season after season that all have the same dinamic.
In the last few season we have had Trevor&Chris, Will&James, Taylor&Isaiah (who at least were black) and now those two. And I'm not counting Korey and Tyler cause they werent a couple but still fit the same vibe.
It's like only the "tank top wearing guys that would go crazy in a Taylor Swift concert" kind of gay exists for casting.....
And apparently there is another gay couple in S36 but damn, I hope they are a little different... AND WE NEED LESBIANS. Never enough lesbian couples in this show.
I think that switching seasons 35 and 36 might be a good decision.

Why do I still watch this it was so boring
I made the mistake of watching with commericals and lost interest. I think otherwise it would have been a decent premiere. I think this show is going to struggle to carry 90 minute episodes. They wanna take the conflict out of shows and basically all aspects thet make it interesting but then make them longer. Like what?
Since its 90 minutes is the show less flashy? It's irritating how they will never hold the same camera angle scene for more than 5 seconds. It's CONSTANTLY switching back and forth different camera angles. Drives me crazy I just can't sleep
I think this season is very promising. Hoping the U turns will make some drama occur and it's been so interesting seeing everything back to normal with them in taxis and airports!
Adding 30 min to amazing race is an oxymoron. The show is supposed to be quick and frantic
I think that the 90 minute episodes should be a two minute premiere and the keep on racing leg. Other than that, I liked the episode and hope the season will continue to be enjoyable.
