I wasn't a fan of Sam but he would have made a lot of sense. Not sure why people are mad about Ed. Ed did enough his rookie season to get another season for sure. I think Johnny Middlebrooks should have been cast but it should have been him over Chauncey then people would be complaining that Chauncey wasn't on. I didn't watch the season with James so can't speak to that. Not sure why everyone want Idris back--did he do something? Was he really a threat? Maybe I just blocked out that WOTW2
I miss the invasion - WOTW2 era so much. This show took a sharp decline after
Words I never thought people would say when those seasons were airing--aside from maybe Invassion. Vendettas still has arguably the worst format ever.
Vendettas and FR had awful formats for sure but at least the casts were good and they showed actual drama. Now all we get is Josh screaming type drama and bad explosion challenges

Agreed with all of the above. And no, Idris was a ghost for making it decently far. And is a horrible swimmer if I remember

That's fair. I think Devin was responsible for about 90% of the drama on Vendettas and Shane about 90% on FR but still fair.
literally the only redeeming thing about this big *** ROD alliance is that melissa and zara aren't going to sit around and do nothing about it so at least there's gonna be drama at some point ig
idk why people acting like melissa ever did anything out of the ordinary. She was a johnny enabler ****.
the skull twist made it to where her back was never up against the wall and her game was never threatened, as much as it sucked for the viewers going with the flow and having johnny on her side is what got her to the end. not once has melissa just laid over and let people walk all over her.

On rematch the Trilogy is very watchable. Great cast, real drama...... those seasons would be gold if the formats were not overproduced and dumb

Dirty 30 was one I could get through--the other 2 was a chalenge to me but, yes, it's far better than anything after that or even Rivals 3 and Bloodlines
FR people complained ab "too much drama" and "not enough competition" so WOTW1 went back to daily and elim in every ep.
WOTW2 ppl complained ab "too much strategy" and "ppl skating by" so TM they changed the challenge forever by doing red skulls, which has seeped into strategy today.
TJ on The Challenge Tiktok said they're still expanding the show to different countries.
So there will be more Challenges lol
instead of each country having its own challenge just have the challenge worlds with a bunch of different countries represented. South Africa, Australia, Argentina, UK, and wherever else, put it on paramount plus. No need for 50 different challenges, especially since Australia was cancelled an UK might be next.

WOTW1 was fine all things considered. But that's 100% when the competitive aspect started shifting to what it is now.
And the fan complaints of WOTW2 have always been dumb to me because the Cult did what they used to do back in the day. People just don't like them and most of what they did was due to Laurel, Bananas, and Josh taking shots first.
And, introducing the skull format on an individual season to combat team-based politics is stupid. We need them more now with the Vacation alliance than we did when the cast was more fractured.
Y'all know what's funny, back when final reckoning was airing/being promoted, they kept promoting it as "the end of the challenge as we know it" and they were absolutely right.. WOTW1 definitely ushered in a new era which led to the BS we get now, however WOTW1&2 weren't bad seasons, especially 2.

At some point this year they actually got approven for an mtv vs cbs spinoff for paramount+. Idk if that still happening since usa 2 is to similar to that.
TBH- I don't know why they think that having 20 versions of the same show is a good idea. It gets old and repetitive with the same formula/host instead of just coming up with different concepts for shows.

At this point. I'm convinced the show is a money laundering scheme for something I stg. Who tf is going to watch these international versions, I mean I will but who else!!?
The Challenge has potential to be great but until we get a new professional and competent production team, it has no hope. The poor decision making, laziness, and pure unprofessionalism is astounding. However, they continue to get away with it. So why work had at your job if you get rewarded for being cràppy at it?

I've always wondered why they haven't tried putting Challenge people on a show like Survivor instead of the reverse, especially with Survivor being shorter now. Could even be a battle of shows Survivor vs BB vs Challenge. Idk how many Challengers could handle it tho.
The Challenge repeats alone are def getting repetitive outside of some of the international versions.

The trilogy gave something every season.
Good drama, politics, storylines, Twitter beef, and reunions make you want to tune in.
Invasion to WOTW2 was a fantastic era: messy formats here and there, but the casts made up for it in multiple ways.
If only we had 90-minute episodes then.
fans are to blame for the way the show is now.

Ya'll could never get me so worked up over ANYONE on THIS cast lol. It's actually nice to just relax for once since none of my people are on this.

SLA, double agent, total madness are all one season to me and I mix up all the time.
this is me lol
this show has barely made it in the USA why are they expanding to other countries LOL

Don't me me wrong though they could make really good seasons internationally like challenge aus

All these different versions they want to make yet none will have the fun vibes like the OG seasons, which is what the longtime fans want...
Kenny Santucci coming in as mercenary to save the season
