Nany was decently regarded as a good/serviceable Challenger in her first few seasons. Around Rivals III it seemed everyone agreed she needed a break and she wasn't ever gonna win, at least not in the shape she was in.
Terrible luck in eliminations and now three finals in a row with a loss have pushed her towards being Anessa-lite in people's eyes.
Nelson was thought to be next up post-Invasion, and he's given nothing much since he returned in TM after a two-season break. So you never know who will arise to the occasion and who won't.
